This is exactly the type of thread that should be blocked
Rarely had unseen a share "boosted" to the levels that they were. I was not in the camp of coming on bbs and saying that, as it would have served little to no purpose.
If anything, I was concerned for the people "all in", having been burnt myself with this mentally, it's absolutely bonkers for aim
Next were the people claiming buyout and a billion £ company, I think they are away with the fairies.
One thing to consider when raising is, as a recipient, you're not in control. There's an adage, when you go to the table for funds, the broker excuses themselves to go to the toilet, whilst there, opens up a short.
People call for BoD to be ousted, is a typical irrational pi response, usually because of they are over invested. He's not done a bad job ,and no one can pretend to know how easy or hard it was to raise money in this market.
Clearly there's some discontent, rightly so from lth, that raise was expected, but I don't think anyone could have envisaged those terms.
I've been interacting with people who are all in on this share, I don't think that is a good idea on any share, let alone aim.
But, for how disappointed lth, this does offer an opportunity for new investors to enter, that's the nature of the game.
There's still value here, shares have gone to ii which is always a good sign.
Tough pill to swallow, but it is still the same share as last week.
When ever you see a drop like this, people piece together a pre determined narrative that they already have in mind.
The truth is, no one has a bloody clue why and trying to convince others on a given reason is purely fallacy
But for those who have been invested in pharma over a number of trials, you see the same traits
Decent data, blockbuster, orphan drug, efficacy, safety data - take over. That's the hype, people over invest, but then long periods of silence, people then see huge paper losses and doubt creeps in. The journey, the data and the story becomes a blurred with, funding, dilution, data & safety concerns.
Once the drop comes (it does EVERYTIME) during small cap pharma, people panic and sell out of fear, this creates a snowball affect.
This is why it's so important to not view ANY share as bulletproof, or a certainty. I guarantee, no share on aim is! Otherwise it wouldnt be on aim!
On these bb's there is no reasoned discussion, either someone is ramping/deramping. It's either a multibagger or bust. Never anywhere in the middle.
But when you have emotional people invested, you're always going to get these swings.
Gla.
I don't mean this to sound rude, but asking for an rns "to settle the market"? Let's dissect that? Settle the market, or indeed settle you? "The market" seems irrational at times, and doesn't care whether the share is at 10p, £1 or £10. The only reason why the sp is down so much is not because the market is irrational, but because private investors are.
Rns are designed for newsworthy events that materialistically alter the direction of travel of the company, either fore or against. Not to settle the nerves of investors
If the market"seems" irrational, it's because the shares are primarily in private investors hands, who need rns to settle their nerves, and when it doesn't come, they sell because they're irrational, not following the science and need rns I make them feel better.
The whole thing comes full circle
I get that, BUT....... if you lose it all, that's a tough, I mean really tough. I invested 17k, got it to 95k,took out 35k and lost the 60k. Trust me, it's a sickening feeling regardless as your other assets or what you've taken out. Right now, you think you can afford to lose, you probably can, but the lesson is, if/when it does happen, you realize you didn't want to and takes a long time to recover. I would urge anyone all in here to reconsider..... But, good luck on your decisions......
This is a very bad idea, regardless of how good you think an investment is, no company on the planet is bullet proof, especially in young pharma. Regardless of the investment case, no one can every account for "unknown unknowns"
If it went to zero tomorrow, how would you explain that you your family? On any level, on any investment, this is a VERY BAD IDEA
That is all.
Being absolutely honest, with the usual caveats of no minimum order etc, right now it's a 2000 units = ~$250k
Time will tell if it goes the same way at latam, Argentina, Bulgaria, dhl, Bosch etc..... hoping and praying for a sea change
That's what I say to the Mrs, and it gets the same answer as you're question.... No!
This is such a a pertinent point, yet So many people are blind to this, both society and in pharma. Antibiotics have been over prescribed both in agriculture and society for decades. With pharma companies not investing any r&d, we're now on the verge of something very serious. Imagine ava treats a cancer patient reduces a life threatening tumour, but the patient acquired a hospital acquired infection, with no antibiotics that work and they die. Kind of highlights the importance of r&d across the board. Pharma companies have a responsibility to stay ahead of the curve. I suspect they won't until there's a catastrophe, then new antibiotics become profitable. That's the business I guess
"Looks like something special coming" - yeah you.
Here's hoping for different fortunes this year
Isn't wow, but is highly significant. First and foremost, it's a phase 1a trial, the most important aspect right now is safety. Without a safe drug at this stage, you've got nothing.
I feel that certain investors think/hope that this will take over the world, whether it does or not remains to be seen.
When investing in early stage pharma, at any stage you can have the carpet pulled from underneath you, just ask the holders of imm or mtfb to name but a few. They are learning about the delivery of this and efficacy all the time, this could/should improve as trials progress
The drug has confirmed to work well, in certain instances and be safe. You can't underestimate the importance of that, it may transpire into a blockbuster delivery method, but even if not, even if it's niche, if it helps but a few, it's significant those patients, as well as investors alike.
A tempered balanced standpoint is of the utmost importance. Good luck to investors, but congratulations person who's tumour has reduced significantly. Health over wealth.

I've also had personal assurances from the BoD, that results will be published
Agree , taking a step back and looking at the whole landscape. We're not far away, it's been so long since last yrs contracts were signed though. So it feels like an eternity.
Anything decent we turn a profit. When though is the killer question. Results in the next 2 weeks, let's see what they say
Anyone who remotely researches this knows, we need substance. There's many avenues that can come from, numerous trials and ongoing contracts
The potential is there, but lth are not going to go for the mindless ramps that ensued yesterday, good luck if you're investing. As soon as something of substance arrives - we're okay. Until then, we're going to struggle. You have got to ride it and and believe that th BoD will deliver
