What a horrible toxic place this has become with so much negativity and now the dreaded TW band have entered the fray I will no longer bother reading after today. The criticism of the Board of Directors is absolutely ridiculous,. They had everything ready for a sale it was nearly there and I stand by my theory to a Japenese consortium and then Putin loses his mind and starts a war. So sale cannot go ahead and they just have to progress as much as they can for now with the sanctions that are now in place and try to keep under the radar as much as they can whilst doing so with mininimal news given out as Russia is not a good place to be selling or building a business at the moment! The news flow was regular before the war and I firmly believe that's the sole reason this has changed not the claptrap now posted. The CEO was all geared up to retire with the sale proceeds of his shares as his retirement fund but now has to hang on like the rest of us and he's not a young man.. Not one share sold by any of the Directors who have oodles of them. I despair of the idiots, and hope and pray the war ends quicker than expected not because of this share but to stop the senseless slaughter of both Ukrainian and Russian people.
Apologies for the spelling I really should put my specs on before posting!
Whilst I continue to hold until the end I only dip in and out here now as for me the war in Ukraine is the absolute reason for the lack of news and until it ends and sanctions are eased the board are going to have to be incredibly careful with what news they release. Nobody really knows what is going on behind the scenes but we do know the chairman was to have retired earlier this year and I have no doubt he expected a deal done at this time now much delayed which must have been a real body blow to him as it was to all of us long term holders. My own view was a Japanese consortium was involved but like all on here nobody knows for sure. So I wait and yes sadly it could now be for years yet, the assets are still there so I ignore the drivel which there is lots of and continue to trust the board who I believe will not sell until they can get fair value when it's safe to get this!
In the last 2 years he kas moew than doubled his share holding through purchases so hardly a cash cow! Seems he really believes Bushranfger was going to be all he hoped. We will see if he is proved right soon enough!
Apart from looking out for RNS's I have not been paying much attention to the negative codswallop now being written on this board. My reason being there is highly unlikely to be a sale at true value until the war in Ukraine is over which could take years and is totally outwith the Board of Directors control. They make it clear the sanctions are not impacting operations but they will certainly impact this. Must be very frustrating for the CEO who I have no doubt was expecting to have retired by now with lots of cash in the Bank. Like him I will wait patiently and they are doing all the right things in the interim whatever the doomsayers spout on here. Of course in the meantime the shareprice will be decimated due to the lack of sale progress, but as I never had any need for the cash as always I wait for the end game now unfortunately delayed for who knows how long.
As someone who has stupidly not sold at 43p and doubled my holding since to say I am disappointed at today's RNS is a massive understatement. Not as massive as the disparity between the value of the minerals in the ground less costs to produce mind you thats absolutely humongous! I can only concur with others RY is sadly a bigger crook than the former CEO of Sound Energy James Parsons and that's something I never thought I'd see.
Posted similar thread on my other main Russian stock Amur Minerals. Whilst the rise in both today is welcome as is the possibility of the war in Ukraine ending we could be some way from this yet. The situation remains far too volatile to be releasing the big news we have waited so long for. Our CEO wants to retire and main shareholding director wants the best price possible and I have enough faith they will do the deal at the earliest time when they feel it is safe to do so. Whilst it's unfortunate the deal was not complete before Putin lost his marbles we are where we are and I continue to wait as long as it takes.
Normally I would agree RY is procrastinating as usual and agree we need news. However, an American CEO dealing with a mine in Russia in the current situation. If I was him I would be keeping sitting on my hands (something he is very adept at) until this terrible war is over and he can get some clarity on the lie of the land. Still a very volatile time to be doing business, painful as it is best to wait it out for now.
I used to think that the banter between so called rampers and derampers was pro quid pro and just the way it is with both sides entitled to their opinion. However, those absolute scumbags saying people were overhypiing the share when everyone knows the reason for the current situation is nothing to do with the value of the assets and the potential sake and everything to do with a madman who is currently destroying an innocent nation are beyond the pale and should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves but unfortunately won't be. Absolutely disgusting. .
What an absolute load of tosh on this board today. None of us really believed Putin would do this despite the recent drops in the share price or we would have sold. Do you really think its the board of directors fault when they have been working so hard to get the best deal given what's at stake for them. Unfortunately I as I have done all along wait until the end game in acceptance that this may now be nothing as who knows how this will pan out now. The assets remain, the vast majority of Russians don't want this war so I will wait and see. For me it's only money and my thoughts are with the people of Ukraine and families of Russian soldiers who will lose their lives because of one man.
I'm holding to the end but will probably need funds from somewhere for a house purchase in April. Does anyone have any knowledge of previous sales and how long it normally takes from due diligence being completed to an offer being made by the prospective buyer? I assume it varies according to the complexity of the deal and various other factors but is there an expected normal timescale?
Time for another guess. Can you put me down for 11th Feb Ian. As close to my birthday as I can get. What a present I dream of!
We used to have a very knowledgeable poster called Red Lea who I think then became Rosy Lea don't know if still around but I would certainly value his opinion on reasonable worth! Say value in ground £20b but costs of set up £1b so £19b left. Is 5% of this value i. e £0.95b too much to hope for? Certainly seems that way with starting bid if £100m surely they won't accept this!
E-tank I couldn't agree more! Also been a holder for 10 years plus not selling at 43p. Surely they won't give the assets worth multiple billions away for £100 million after all this time and effort!
The great thing about the boards strategy is that this is looking increasingly like the gift that will keep on giving. My initial thoughts were to sell on the big news of the asset sale but now I think that's daft Take this dividend and keep the shares as there is so much more to come. Happy days indeed.
What's the thoughts on what excuse RY will come up with for the delay in TEO which he stated in an interview would be released in December. Surely not Covid again. Don't know why I'm disappointed as should be used to broken promises but will keep holding more in hope than expectation mainly due to being so far under water I've little choice!
This was well publicised by the company and to be honest I think it's very well run and has great potential for the future. I am kind of hoping there is a drop in price over the next few months as I should be in a position for a top up if another share goes as expected. Happy New Year to all when it comes.
Whilst I will need to find money in April I decided to raid the piggy bank and give myself an early Christmas present and bought another 20,000 today. Could not resist at this crazy price! Compliments of the season to all.
I guess the games will continue and I expect weekly RNS from the company where possible until the big one! Anyone have an idea how long it normally takes from due diligence being completed by the credible buyer to an offer being made which we can vote on? Of course it seems likely the offer may be dependent on several milestones being completed. Alternatively it's too low and there are other options so we will have to continue to remain patient which I am happy to do albeit may need cash come April. Even then think I will borrow rather than sell if big RNS not landed as having waited years I am determined to hold out for as long as it takes!
Looking better only 33p to go and I am at break-even lol. Ah well I had written off completely but may get something back now with a fair wind!
