The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Hi Ian. Long time since I have had a guess. Can you please put me down for the 16th Dec. Would have been my dad's birthday so hoping he's watching down and ready to sprinkle some luck my way!
Thanks for your sensible talk! I don't agree with anything you are posting though, sometimes it's good to see snippets of previous RNS as a reminder of what's going on while we wait. I have just re-read this years RNS's and having done so wish I could buy more. The only negative here that all you derampers have and of course use is the time the deal is taking but it's going to be huge so we wait as long as it takes.
Just tried to buy £8,000 but cannot get a quote at present. Looks like there are plenty trying on the dip I will try again later, anybody had more luck? Nothing has changed here it's just the length of time to get there that is a bit frustrating but I will wait as long as it takes and take advantage to buy more if I can.
This is the board confirming nothing has changed and things are progressing and whilst slower than we had all hoped or expected it's due to a bidding war so obviously they can't tell us how much. Standard wording saying it may not happen. I will continue to hold to the end and remain extremely confident patience will be rewarded and ignore the flannel from the bots.
Not everyone has spare cash to buy on dips. I have to confess it is taking far longer to get the pieces of the jigsaw in place than I expected. I will be holding the bulk of my holding to the end but with all the volatility thought it was worth trading a small amount so on last week's news sold 20k shares on the spike and used the proceeds to yesterday buy back 29k . If things do drag on with further news to come before the bigee I may keep trying this to see if I can increase my holding. Good luck all whatever your strategy.
What a load of absolute tripe I have been reading the last few months solely because the time the deal is taking has resulted in a continuing decline in the share price not unusual in the cesspit that is AIM. Meanwhile the RNS's from the company have all been positive and they continue to give what hints they can things are going as planned. My only annoyance is that I am no longer working as if I was I would be buying more every month. However, I will just have to settle for the 400k of shares I have and await the outcome. Meanwhile continue to spout your rubbish bots it's a waste of time all you have is the share price fall and time taken absolutely nothing else whatsoever to say and it simply won't wash.
This board really has become awful all due to the length of time the deal is taking which is the only reason for the persistent decline in the share price. There has been no change to the situation and at some point the news will come and though not normally the type to wish ill on anyone I really hope some of the most toxic bots are badly burned. Meanwhile I wait and wish I could afford to buy more!
Thought I would double the posts. :-) Genuinely have real difficulty grasping why Ariana sp is not significantly higher. Been in for years and we get positive results and news followed by more positive results and news yet it continues to go up a bit then drop back time after time! One of these days Rodney....
Good evening Ian,
Can I try 24th July as partners birthday. What a wonderful present it would be if long wait finally over. Keep the good work going yesterdayd RNS just confirmed what we know no guarantees but as close to one as we can get from the board!
I have to confess it's not easy watching the drip drip on the share price but that's AIM for you where sentiment and impatience can cause this despite the fundementals getting stronger with every RNS. Makes no difference to me as holding out to the end no mater what but it's a pain in the backside that the bots are getting the opportunity to continually spout there complete tripe whilst we wait... Tick tock...
T's spellchecker and eyesight!
Good morning Ian and all, I don't think we will have long to wait now surely just dotting the i's and crossing the it's on the deal of the decade! Can you put me down for Thursday 27th May. Cheers
I have been a shareholder in AMC for nearly a decade and in the early days I was one of RY's biggest advocates. He kept us up to date was articulate and positive in his interviews as to the direction of the company. Like most long term holders I am now heavily underwater with an average of over 8p but still cling to the hope that some day this will come good. C'mon Robin give us some news anything, I would even accept news that there is no news just now!
Actually though happy to be proved wrong but I expect a pull back tomorrow as traders close off for the week. However, a lot of legs to this yet nd onwards and upwards next week.
Tilley for the first time in many a year I dismissed the malt and had a rum tonight! Thanks to you, Ian, Gecko and Mac etc for the continued positivity over the many months whilst we waited. I still feel a bit like I did when I was a kid watching Basil Brush where the story has stopped at a vital bit but we just await a figure now and I am very confident it will be awesome. What's not to like a dividend and we will still own the shares which will increase in value. Thank you all including Bllions etc for making me laugh consistently at their desperation and of course the board of EUA rums all round. :-)
I don't post often but am very grateful for the genuine posters who keep providing valuable posts and ignore the tosh. Is it right that I could set a sell limit price of say £2.50 and my 400k of shares would no longer be available for shorting. Not saying we will get that sale price albeit be lovely just want to do my small bit to stop the shenanigans maybe we can we all should do the same. One things for sure despite the fact I could do with some cash I will find it whatever other way I can I am not waiting this long only to miss out on the prize even if it takes many more months!
Just an example for Private Investors on the importance of remaining patient as we approach the end game in relation to another share I held. A company called Tremor who deal in digital advertising that I held for years but needed some cash to buy a car and fed up with waiting sold at a large loss for £1.28 last year, today sitting at £7.00! Lesson learned I am holding onto those golden tickets no matter what games are played until the news arrives.
Given the further potential of WK when licenses approved could it be this will be kept and MT sold. Still think it will be all but they may not get full value without these for WK so may hold on to it.
Holding as like many little choice now as nearly 80% down and so regret not selling at 43p a few years ago back in the days when we actually had regular updates from our CEO. I remember an interview from RY about 2 years ago when he said we were entering a more "boring" phase where they would be busy on the figures etc. and there would be less to report. Well he has certainly been true to his word with this but the continual lack of any real news and missed deadlines means he has lost credibilty with many. C'mon RY I always liked the cut of your gib throw us very long standing loyal shareholders a bone!
I too struggle to understand why we are languishing at current levels. I know some had concerns about the j.v. but the potential is enormous and there have been nothing but positive RNS's for literally years now. The only reason I can think of for continued stagnation is I have bought more! ?ah well I will keep holding and waiting.
