I am of the opinion that the council committee should stand down and a new lot elected. There is hardly a shred of confidence in the current council when during an important vote, some sought council from family members which in no doubt influenced their decision. This farce may continue as I suspect to save face and these same councillors may stick to their original decision to reject. I do hope SCC's legal team do intervene/advise the council that a rejection is not in the best interest of the council. I'm desperately in need of some good luck lately as I've now been out of work since March and unable to top up at those low prices.
"The Applicant has a proven poor track record of exploration in similar geological environments, involving severe technical problems with its wells, combined with exaggerated claims about future oil production which have proved to be illusory".
Didn't the Wright brothers have a somewhat less than expert record of exploration of flight at one stage?
Whilst I am utterly dismayed at the SCC planning refusal for Loxley, I may have come to the conclusion that perhaps the venture was not quite thought through. Reading this article https://waverleyweb.org/2020/06/30/uk-oil-gas-application-in-dunsfold-refused-for-now/ I noticed that the road which the tankers would have used to transport oil/gas and any other HGV vehicles have to gain access, according to the article has "Unsuitable for HGV" signs, allegedly put up by SCC highways. Being sceptical and suspicious, I went on Google maps, selected street view and took a virtual tour down the road in question. Alas! no signs anywhere?? Which makes me wonder who had "forced" the council to put them up between Google mapping the area and the planning application. All said and done though, I do regrettably agree that this single lane road does not look appropriate for the amount of traffic UKOG would need. :(

You mention in your posts the amount of objections v proposals for the IOW drill.
I'm not going to disprove this due to the fact that objectors are actively boosting the numbers by including family members to object.
For example, looking through some of the objections, at least three are from one household including a 15 year old girl and her 13 year old sister.
Perhaps I could also get my three sons, my mother and father, two sisters, my aunts, uncles and cousins to propose this too?
Seems as though this one was not quite straight forward.

To the Chairman and members of SCC planning Committee
I wish to submit a complaint of mis-representation what has become apparent following your recent planning meeting which rejected UKOG's application to drill at Loxley.
During the meeting a member of the public - Mr Tom Gordon made several statements regarding his wedding venue business at High Billinghurst Farm.
This venue is licenced for up to 50 events a year with a high number of guests.
Mr Gordon stated that the venue is fully booked for 2021 yet on his website, the event calendar is showing no bookings at all for 2021.
He also stated that most of the weddings are booked for Fridays, yet the calendar for 2019, despite showing 25 bookings, only 8 of those were held on a Friday.
Unless this is an oversight and his website calendar has not been updated regularly, then should Mr Gordon want to re-submit his objection, he should provide verified proof of his submission.
I will send a copy of this email to Steve Sanderson, CEO of UKOG.
I enjoy doing a bit of "digging" to find facts and I was a bit dubious about what the fellow who has a barn for wedding venues was stating during the farcical planning meeting. For example: he stated his business is licensed to hold up to 50 events per year with up to 8,000 guests. He stated that the venue is fully booked for 2021 yet the calendar on his website shows ALL dates still available. Unless it's not been updated he currently has no bookings whatsoever for 2021. He also stated many of his wedding events are held on Fridays, yet calendar for 2019 shows only 25 bookings all year with only 8 held on Fridays. tut tut!!! I could dig further but I think I've proven something.
My support now added.
Interested to see the locals resorting to having their young families registering and adding support. I'm not sure if there is such a thing as an age limit or multiple objections allowed from a single household but a bit of detective work has revealed to me at least 3 objections from the same address two of which are from a 15 year old and a 13 year old.
