Boris just mentioned in his briefing that UK will establish an 'Antivirals Taskforce' to investigate and research Antivirals to combat Covid. Avacta discussed in May 2020 and previously that Affimers work as effective Antivirals. I'm thinking we might hear more about this on Thursday. If this comes off for Avacta the target price just doubled!

Assuming Clinical Validation indicates sensitivity equal to that previoulsy notified by Avacta I dont think there is an equivalent test over the range of CT values that Avacta has employed. Tests in the Lab with Lab samples is one thing, full CV with real samples is quite another. Perhaps I've missed something?

I think sometimes thinking is a little too binary. Sensitivity and Specificity are important factors as are surety of materials supply, robustness, ability to quickly adapt to mutations and new pathogens. It just so happens that Affimers have it all. In short a gold standard product. Given the former it would, in my opinion, be hugely surprising if Avacta did not win the Lions share of future LFD contracts.

I just checked the VOX Markets video and its "data around the end of the month", subject to the number of Covid cases available to be tested (no issue outside the UK thats for sure) then CE marking and finally off to market. But at the end of the day it is what it is around the end of Q1. I doubt anyone of sound mind would sell on a Weds only see it Rocket on Thursday! The Deepverge system requires dedicated hardware. Also, its Sensitivity and Specificity needs to be proven with clinical samples and we know what that entails. But the hardware station into which the capture chip (sensor) must be inserted is the limiting factor in my opinion.

BAMS activities were expected to reach a conclusion 2 to 3 weeks from 24th Feb. They will drop any day now and I expect positive news given the previous background. Thinking is that BAMS will be bigger than originally predicted with MS being used more widely in diagnostics thanks to the work done by Adeptrix. More and more sales for Avacta.

Only 25%! I'm thinking Sensitivity and Specificity requirements, the need for full Clinical Validation and Sampling Method will limit potential suppliers to a very small number indeed. Perhaps 1. Boom.
