Sky, for the sake of completeness it should be stated that the Government is led by a buffon and proven liar. He was elected by the Blue Rinse brigade who will, if they have not been already, probably be seen off by his latest bufoonary. This is not to say Boris is unintelligent or well meaning but dear God the country deserves better.

On Newsnight tonight Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea discussed, in relation to staff shortages in hospitality caused by young unvaccinated people isolating, that he himself was isolating essentially unnecessarily for ten days even though he tests himself daily with a LFD and each test is negative. I'm sure he was about to say why not allow the LFD result to act as a Green Light but the interview concluded. Its obvious to all that the Avacta LFD can and should be used in this way but first we need to throw all the Innova tests in the bin, funny thing is I'm sure some American chap suggested just that ....

The world knows that folks who have had two jabs can still catch Covid and can still pass it on, the nations newshound Andrew Marr demonstrated that for all to see. What baffles me is why the provarication given that we now have an LFT that is easy to use and highly Sensitive. The answer should be obvious but it is still being debated. Test instead of bl**dy isolate and travel passports based on testing, simples and guess what, I dont get paid anything like the various consulants we see on tv every 5 minutes however, I am available for hire!

Just to say regarding BAMS unfortunately Handys mates had too many PCR tests to sell for the original BAMS concept to be taken up by our Government but, the concept has been proven and it was evident its application in a wide range of diagnostic tests remained in prospect with Adeptrix and Bruker. Yet another significant income stream in prospect.

I would never vote for Boris but just look at the other options. Nothing, nada, zilch. What does that say about the state of Britain, plenty I'd say and none of it good.

There is an elephant in this room. Government knows all too well that people who have been double jabbed can catch the virus and transmit it to others so all talk of entry on the basis of having had two jabs is rubbish plain and simple. The word on this needs to be spread widely.

Whilst I have concluded that this Government is probably the most inept in modern history (I resigned my Conservative Party Membership when the blond buffoon and proven liar Boris was elected leader) I think in inconceivable that they would take the country into Autumn with a significant stockpile of quality LFDs to say nothing of the period between now and then. The good news starts on Monday I think.

JD still failing to acknowledge that the Avacta LFD is of similar sensitivity to PCR across the Covid infectious range. Given that fact the Avacta LFD can and should be used as a Green Light indicator and this should at this stage be clearly stated by Al. Or have I failed to understand correctly?

So patently obvious that those looking after old folks need to be vaccinated its not worth debating. Needless to say the majority will likely already have done so. Exemption for pregnant women would be usefull in my opinion subject to their testing with an Avacta LFT twice a day.

Some young people not wanting to get vaccinated is as they say is 'a thing'. I have experienced this in my family as have others it seems. Being objective about where we as a society now find ourselves tends to confirm what we have heard from Al testing is not going away any time soon. Just heard on the radio that vaccination will be compulsory for carehome workers, I think soon that will be the same for many Customer facing staff. Its a train crash and its going to be ongoing, sorry Wyn.

I think you have hit the nail on the head ish doze but the problem is familys cannot isolate themselves entirely with giving up on living. I can test myself but if I want to say go to a pub I risk catching the virus so will I go to the pub. As others have said 20 somethings are reluctant to be vaccinated but they will become the conduit by which entire familys get the virus so they will need to have a test regime in place. Care homes similarly because vunerable folk will die after catching the virus vaccinated or not. Question is for any outing whether its worth the risk, many outings will not be for some. The link provided by Larsh is interesting and depressing. I think that unless testing at venues is established the new normal will be far from what normal used to be and many more businesses will go bust. But I think it will take the 4th wave post new normal for many people, myself included, to understand what the new normal actually is. Do you think functions attended by the great and the good will involve entry by testing in future or do you think they will risk becoming infected?

A question occured to me, so a straw poll I thought. Once we get to July 19th how likely will you be to march into a cinema, restaurant, theatre or bar operating without any restriction 100 percent, 75percent or unlikely at first. Me slow starter I think so unlikely at first.

Lets not forget that the postion Avacta found itself in with respect to BAMs was very similar. I and others called it at the time, it was plain for any objectively minded person to see. Too many PCR tests needing to be sold was essentially my take on it.
