SirG --the problem is with this sort of volatility / movement the s/l 's have to be fairly " wide " --in the order of 40/50 pts. !! --i went long on the test of 17600 just , so i'm up about 60 pts,. at the moment --but my s/l had to be down near the 17660 level !!! ------GL.

SirG -----well, 17680 didn't hold and it found the gap down , i see !! ---hope for 17600 to hold now and if we are lucky (lol) a close back above 17680 ----GL.

GB ----there with ya, budd ----just a small long to test the water , so to speak .-----really is incredible that it has been allowed to drop this low !!!! ---good news at the pumps tomorrow for me filling up , i guess ?? ----GL.

SirG -----Agh No !! ---just tells you that 17600 was historic supp. and gave way yesterday and then became effective res. several times today before giving way ---so it now becomes effective supp. again !! the triple touch at 17520 late last night and early today ( your wednesday lows) will be supp.2 ------dropping back as i post from the multi-test of 17760 --that is now res.1 .--- 17800 , as you posted , is indeed now res.2 ( ( above 17820 for confirmation ) !! -----i would want it to hold that 17680 now as there is a big gap down --or at least remain above it into the close , but a couple of hours to go yet ?? ---GL.

SirG ----- I think i probably said most of that in my previous posts but nice to see you agree (lol) --( just kidding ) ---- i would look to 17600 again first tho'as supp. again and not wednesday's lows neccessarily at this juncture ---but either will do !! ---GL.

GB --- Yep, that's Supp.1 gone for now ---it had a damn good try there for 17600 for a minute ot two !! --bit lower to Supp.2 perhaps now ?? Agree with you on OIL --Opec will have to re-access the situation again very soon , surely, won't they ?? ----GL.

Jolly --Evening to you and all --looks like SirG got in nice with QPP !! ---got a few trades in today but won't bore everyone with details at the mo. ---well as far as the Dow is concerned F4 may get his 17000 !! who knows for sure ? ----but today it's still testing that low 17600 first support level .After that as i posted previously i would be looking at 2nd support around that 17380 ish level , maybe a little lower .---after that it may well see 17000 !!---it had risen that fast to 17991 the only thing for it was a pull-back just as fast ----gone from RSI 83.7 (extremely overbought) to stand at RSI 40.2 as i post --that's a remarkable RSI drop in two days --it may carry on to the bottom of the RSI channel now at 30 which would give us in the region of 17400 if the fall continues at this pace ---a good setup then for a rally back to 18000 and beyond ?? I have re-plotted the closing high channel from 2009 and the next touch was not 17960 at all , as i previously thought , it is in fact above 18000. !! the "wise ones" have a 20,000 level pencilled in before may/june 2015 --this is in fact the touch on the channel extended into 2015 ----it is not just a figure picked at random !!-----The Dow will be in Bullish Bias , as you call it, right down to the bottom of the 2009 channel at around 16380 ----so there is an aweful lot of room for maneouvre ----my sights are pinned on 17600 holding or at least 17400 --let's see ?? ---least ways i'm short again and have been since it failed to hold 17780 this morning --lost out on a few points when i got stopped out of my long but well up now -------testing 17600 as i post , i see,( RSI 37.3 ) --decisions, decisions !!!! -----GL.

SirG --I know you feel like you're chasing your tail a little at the moment --we've all been there , too many times !! but it will work in your favour with a bit of "luck" and a following wind !! --GL.

FP --well done again --got your 17775 target !! ---Dow bouncing 161 pts , dropping back a little as i post --only got a 100 of them as i waited for confirmation of the bounce at 17680 --long order in for a break of 17800-17820 ( this mornings drop level ) ---target of 50 pts. on a Dax long banked ---order in for break of 9940 /50 at the mo. ----GL.

Goes without saying everyone that my opinion on the FTSE100 ( which is having a terrible time ) is a "sell into the rises " when ever the opp. presents its-self ------GLA.

Jolly ---enough of the negativity please !! (lol) --- Dow and Dax were just extremely overbought , that's all , boosted by a good reporting season and the fact that America will be good value going forward !! call it "hype " if you wish but we all knew a pull-back was imminent to get rid of a bit of that " american steam " -- as long as support levels hold and a supportive candle or two can be seen then it will continue on its merry uphill journey ( barring a third world war or any multitude of unknown scenarios that even markets cannot foresee !!!! ) ---all things aside and being equal the Dow is in very Bullish mode and i have been advised by the "wise ones" that it is a "buy the dips " or "buy the pull-backs " if you prefer market only and cannot be "sold " at this moment in time !!! --that does not mean that you cannot make money short -term by going short at appropriate levels as we are ALL doing !! the wider picture rules tho' -----JMVHO and the "wise ones " of course ----your's obviously differs , so i wish you GL as always -----

F4 ----A pull-back was always on the agenda as the Dow was extremely overbought short-term --It is , however, still in an extremely Bullish uptrending phase and hence the reason/phrase to "buy the dips" ---how and where you buy back in after the dips is a matter of technical judgement ---i posted the low 17600's is the first support to be recognised , which it has just bounced off ---next support regognised is the 17300's if 17600 gives way ( see daily graphs for support areas) ----short term pull-backs do not negate the fact that most Analysts see the Dow as the best value Market going forward ( up to 20,000 ) -----Hope that helps ?? ---did you get in on todays Gold rise ?? -----GL.
