Really don't understand Technical Analysis at all , do you ? ---If you are an Aviva share holder ( perhaps you're not , pray tell !) you really do have to make your decision as to hold , buy or sell . What i'm saying is classical Analysis of the price action and levels , you can find on any of a number of Share Analysis websites. The brokers recomms at the moment would range from " hold" to "buy" to "overweight " and give their target level ---The present chart gives you a clear and classical share price movement for Aviva.-----If you want to add on any Company Fundamental Analysis , if you favour that method , then Aviva is a "screaming" BUY . ----At the failure of the recent high ( 531/532) i went short as that level was clear resistance after third attempt. ---I will short down to 510 p and then possibly down to 500 p if 510 p gives way on a two day closing basis . ---If you do not care to "short" then on the TA alone it's a hold down to 510 p (first support) and then to 500 p ( second and main support ) . If you are an investor not a trader , as i say , Aviva is doing great guns and why not buy some more if you think that there is more to come ---Really does depend on your trading methods ---My "method" as stated is just a "reminder" of the sp action to date and a hint , using TA , as to what you could now expect it to drop to or conversely , rise to . ------Whether you believe in Technical Analysis or not ( and i suspect you do not) greater minds than yours or mine use these resistance and support levels to programme into their automatic buys/sells along with all sorts of Algorithmic nonsense ---- Oversold and Overbought on a shares RSI is a REAL level adhered too my MM's and Brokers and Computer systems all over the world ----You have a very "blinkered and narrow " view /understanding of the world of investing and trading if you somehow think, that these levels just happen for no apparent reason . !!!---- I understand , without anyone having to spell it out to me , that Technical Analysis alone cannot move share prices or markets , and it is is ,by its very nature , a lagging indicator --To work, therefore, it needs buyers to use Fundamental Analysis in the first place and then it can be a useful tool is assisting traders and investors alike to make money ( the bottom line ) -----GL.
