I did watch a video on youtube on the channel "Beyond the trailer" just now where she was talking about a rumour of Wonder woman being released both threatrically and PVOD on christmas day. Not quite sure how Mooky would react to this and whether he'd open as he wouldn't be in the strongest position to enforce the normal window. Perhaps it would be worth accepting this for about 6 months, perhaps similar deals to AMC? I suppose if it was true, it could perhaps be seen as a middle ground, as warner brothers would likely hold the date, knowing it would go on Pvod if cinemas were closed due to covid, therefore cinemas would feel more sure of no delay. Thats just a rumour though and likely was before the director today talked about wanting to save cinemas.

Ultimately it will always be a slight issue that something like 90% of the covid deaths have people with over 2 underlying health conditions. However a vaccine sooner will be good either way, because it might show us we can't sit around waiting for a vaccine and we might focus on more on freeing everyone and protecting the vulnerable as best as possible.
The good thing even if the vaccine was not that effective at stopping deaths if you for example vaccinate all care home staff then there would be less chance of outbreaks in care homes.

The sp was £1 just under 4 months ago. The main difference since then is slightly more cash burn, but hardly so much that it's insurmountable to pay back in future. Also since then we've had the paramount ruling overturned and arguable evidence that PVOD is a failure that wasn't around in June, though also the cinplex potential court proceedings as the negative.
Even China after reopening then shut down again for a bit, then they reopened a second time and look at them now. With a few more states open, and vaccine results from pfizer potentially on 31st Oct, and Moderna vaccine results in Nov, I can see big movies still being released in December.

There was no incentive for cine to do a rights issue back in the summer because they had a queue of backed up revenue to catch up on from all the blockbusters to come to which they could pay off the increased debt (the queued blockbusters is even bigger now). So clearly there had been communications with employees beforehand indicating something like this might happen. This is just the typical kind of press after a business cuts jobs, even if they make complete sense due to a business not being supplied its main products.
