TBH waccy I have no idea how ir why anyone uses RP SBC but I do know that they have a strong niche following, so I'm buying and going long.

RP appeals to me also because they actually make money too which means it's not just a pie in the sky product with no margins.

I know some will think I'm stupid for investing without knowing too much but I prefer to get a general idea of a business and as long as they have a strong model with proven profits then I'm happy to go long. I don't find it necessary to know every tiny detail.

If this is reference to the recent thread then I'd say they're just chuffed that they 5 bagged a stock abd they've been on the same journey as all of us and maybe want to just say thanks all etc.

I sold some at 380p and 430p because my original target was 300p and I was getting the jitters because I didn't want to lose all that profit after 3 years plus of holding.

Other posters have convinced me to hold the rest and I'll look to hold another year or so and when I do finally leave I'll say my farewells, thanks and good luck to all those still holding.

Another one for the waste angle is that I worked driving RORO skips and they had to take the food waste to special sites that made methane for fuel. Once this is proven the government might make it law to process waste plastic in this way.

This is one of the things that makes me think Boo is a good bet. It looks like a disaster but that's just because they've invested massively and are somewhat overstretched. As soon as these investments start to return then it will thrive IMO.

That's another space I reckon this could work because businesses want technical solutions but they want them as cheap as possible. RP can provide something that is both cheap and reliable.

One reason I bought in today is that I know raspberry pi has a keen following, which is what keeps companies going. It's that fan base, just like with Nintendo where they don't even compete for power but they make games that certain people absolutely love and they make friends within these fan bases. Humans are social creatures and fan bases are great social spaces.

I've just topped up now averaging 50p if they ever get back to £3 a share I'll be laughing. Just needs a few good result days and it will rise quickly.

My view is that a lot had a £5 target and have sold out but it will rise about once all those with a £5 target have left

In Derby Rolls Royce is the business everyone wants to work for so they all work realy hard to get and keep a job.

It improves wmployee engagement too because they own part of the business. Shqre schemes are a great idea and they're the reason I stayed at a company for 12 years when I probably should have moved on.

I have an EV and charge on night eate with octopus at 7p and day at 23p whereas Fuse gives me 11p night and 26p night (rounded) Even British gas gave me 10p night and that was before the recent reduction.

I like Octopus because they're the only supplier that actually tries new stuff, which is weird in the utilities sector.

I sold my stocks at 370 and 430 for good reason and stand by that decision. I'd be a bit rucher now if I hadn't but I didn't sell because I wanted to make more money I sold because I didn't want to lose what I'd already made. At this point RR could go to zero and I'd still be up and that's a great position to be in.

The phycological game is the hardest part with stocks IMO and you've just got to accept that you're gonna call it wrong often and you're never gonna make 100% potential from any stock let alone every stock.

I agree in regards the interview. He sounds like he's really addressed the issues and is actually focusing on the big problem, which is MONEY! Get the cash in any way you can.

I don't condone tax evasion but if you're gonna do it try to keep transactions below £10K because ut triggers an alert for investigation.

I personally just pay what tax I owe because I would rather have peace of mind knowing I'm not gonna get a knock at the door.

You get a 3K allowance so you can sell 10% a year over 10 years. If you earn pess than the 40% threshold then you'll only pay 10%. I'd consider the long term bleed off at 3K and then just stick the cash back in your ISA.

From what I can tell Labour claim they aren't going to increase CGT but time will tell.

Unfortunately sometimes you just have to pay tax. I moced my Polymetal shares out if the ISA when they moved to the Kazakhstan exchange. I considered the potential gains far outweighed paying tax on it.

24% is tax on residential property that is not your own home. They're probably targeting landlords and second home owners due to the problems currently in regards to affordable housing.

As long as they turn waste into a product then it's a money maker.
