It is worrying. I'm reassured by what others have said about the vaccine binding to multiple different receptors on the spike protein, hopefully unlikely that a single mutation would get round it. It maybe a good argument for combined vaccines, so if it can beat one mechanism of action there's another one in reserve. I believe they've started doing that with antibiotics to avoid resistance developing.

I went to a signing event before he was diagnosed, he wrote 'big wish' in my book instead of signing it, I did wonder later if he'd been in decline for a while. Might just have been bored with signing 2000 odd books.
