The article highlights the problem with Bressay.. the viscosity is far too high.. it would take a lot of energy to get it to flow..
However I do remember the Bressay field might have a bit of Maureen sands ( much lower viscosity) , so potentially I'd be looking to develop this layer and the Kraken Western Front (again Maureen sands) at the same time in 2022? : Guess best to double check.. but potentially both tied back to an existing drill centre, and then sent to the FPSO Kraken to process.. Say another 6k to 10k /day.?
It's not about production tail-offs.. it's about slightly higher Brent prices, lower annual interest costs, no massive write-offs , no more wasting money on poor assets.. it's about the bigger picture..
I think the Sp always goes up into a Ops update , I think ours will be timed well to coincide with some excellent vaccination numbers in early /mid Feb
Got the parents vaccinated today with Pfizer. Received the text invite link today and got a same day appointment for both earlier this evening. There is some spare capacity in the system in GP centres and larger ones like Excel..
I'm still hearing some people are reluctant to take it. There is still a lot of work to do to convince everyone.. Of the 2 vaccines used so far, there aren't any major bad effects.. albeit one of the uncommon side-effects is swelling of the glands.. My arm is still a bit sore when pressed.. but otherwise all is normal..
I got the Oxford vaccine on Monday pm. Got the chills/slight fever/aches on Tues.. took a few Panadols.. and had to sleep on Tuesday night with socks and a jumper.. They give you a leaflet to read and all the symptoms described are the ones I experienced. Better today and in a better mood.. I heard the second dose is worse.. I took the flu vaccine last year and no side effects.. I have heard that the second dose effects could be worse so quite happy leaving it for 8 to 12 weeks.
It's too early to push to $60.. it's only Jan 13th.. Perhaps flat for a long time.. at least until Feb 20 when contract rolls over. But very glad we are at Brent $56 plus.
It we get $60 April 2021 and $65 July 2021. .. that will be fine. I'm impressed by the number of vaccines that have been injected.. but disappointed Australia doesn't think the Oxford one isn't good enough.. so wait and see ... If 88% of deaths are in the top 4 zones, then 2 doses each by the end of March 2021 gives us a change for a recovery in Q2 2021.. I can't see it being any earlier.
Brent $58 to $60 is resistance.. as per Bloomberg last night.. We need EIA for 6 weeks at this drawdown rate to break it.
I thought a recent poster made a decent effort and said we were using the wrong conversion factor on Kraken Premium.. it was nearer 7.5 rather than 6, so the premium might only be $2.. or did we resolve the issue.. Part of me thinks that's why the SP is stuck at 14p and we need Brent $65 for several months to get the SP near 30p....Brent might go slightly higher in Q4 2021 as Shale production tapers off a bit more too.
RE: Outstanding senior credit facility11 Jan 2021 22:17
It's tight, but doable. They can extend the date if needed /pre sell oil/replace with a new facility.
I'm expecting they can use non-ringfenced cash to bridge any small gap.. This subject has been covered comprehensively within the last week. See Pelle or L3T posts for calcs.
My local GP group did over 1,000 jabs in 2 days.. already at 50% of over 80yrs.. Preference for Oxford Jab rolling forward.. but some reluctance from care-home staff to take the jab which is surprising.. As everyone needs 15 mins observation, GP centres can run out of chairs/space which then delays the jabs.. Overall seems to be working very well and lots of volunteers helping with elderly.. coats etc.. Leave the larger centres to vaccinate the younger population and the GP centres for the elderly where they can perhaps spot other issues face to face.
