@Teddy100, thanks for the insight, glad I am being over pessimistic with an original target of 2.20 for IAG. I wasn't going to bail any time before the end of April anyway as everyone knows this is the best month for stocks, especially those stocks returning to business as normal. @Teddy100, I had exactly the same thoughts last week as IAG has had a massive run and having bought in at the RI, am well up and they had nearly reached my strike price of 2.20. However, with things looking up for the airlines later in the year and especially in the UK and US, this could reflect well for IAG, but at what price? I'm starting to thing north of 2.60 could be achieved, minimum. Do you mind sharing your exit strategy? C

A spike in the US 10 year bond at 8.30 US caused the dip as this share is heavily linked to the US markets as there are many US investors and lots of our revenue comes from over the pond. It all settled down shortly after and the US markets are now enjoying a decent day, however the rally started just as we closed. Should hopefully make for a good day Monday if you have any dry powder. The last of mine went into AVCT today. Have a good weekend all. C

Just look at the market response to IAGs results yesterday, a 4.5 billion operating loss and up over 5% at one point. At this stage in the pandemic, its all about outlook, liquidity and cash burn. In my opinion, all three should be looking good here, thats why I'm hopeful of a good rise over the next 2 weeks. All the best. C

Your joking right? There aint many travel companies that are EBITDA positive, have won contracts and have 1.5 bil of cash available. A good chunk of their routes such as US school bus contracts, which account for 100s of millions of revenue for NEX each year are paid out whether they ferry the little monkeys to school or otherwise. This share also had historically, 70% institutional ownership from primarily pension funds who are less risk tollerant, so I doubt there are too fund managers out there unwinding positions as they think this share has run too far. Listen to the presentations, read the results and backup your comments, as opposed to dropping sweeping statements. Jog on Dacorum. C

@Secretely, you remind me of my approach to this game when I started. Your in the right share though as domestic travel will get a boost over the next couple of weeks and the results on the 10th of March will hopefully have updates on new business, which should kick us on to a new level. thanks x66rjp and others who have chipped in on the previous RI, im going to stay on the sidelines for now until further details are know on future financing. I like the recovery story here due to the domestically focused outlets in rail and US so hopefully they announce something soon then the sp can rebuild from there. Have a good weekend all. C

Must admit, I bailed first thing this morning and managed to get £3.05 for my 5500 shares which was painful, but not a terrible result. Until the RI is settled, im staying out here but will definitely consider getting back in and subscribing to the RI if the terms are good. To raise 500mil based on an sp that is likely to fall further they are going to have to dilute heavily here like IAG did. I do think by mid to late summer things could be looking up for SSP and i do like their reopening strategy.
The year end presentation from December is well worth a listen to and their CEO, Simon came across really well and I wish them well. Now the cat is out of the bag, whatever they do, they will have to do it quickly as the futher tbe sp falls, the more shares they will have to issue to get their 500mil. I'll be keeping a keen eye on this one. Stay safe all. C

OK, I threw caution to the wind on Monday and bought in, not massively but enough for this RI announcement to probably hurt quite a bit tomorrow. #facepalm
RI's if you play them well can be absolutely fine, I bought 90k IAG shares at 84p in September that are now trading at £1.51 so with the right existing shareholder deal in place, we could do well if trading conditions improve over the spring / summer. That said, what were the terms of the last RI in March 2020 as I can see it was a poultry 6% discount on the trading price at the time. Were there any 3 for 2's or anything like that as I'm sure this would have to be heavily discounted for it to be attractive enough for current shareholder? All the best, C

Jwd222, what a 'sage scientist' says about the wider travel industry reaction to lockdowns is very different to what happens to a specific stock, especially this stock. Be cognizant to the fact that others come to these BB's to review well (mostly) informed opinions on a stock, or to reaffirm their thoughts, not to read flippant comments that may put them off unnecessarily. C
