RE: Nex as always classed as a travel company rather than transport company.6 Mar 2022 21:27
Will be interesting to see how this week's pans out as we have consistent comments that the UK cannot get too involved in Ukraine and we just need to sit back, be back seat drivers and let this play out until Putin is eventually overthrow. Many believe this is now the beginning of the end for Putin, which I sincerely hope it is. With this in mind, there will be caution over the coming weeks, but IIs may start to come to the conclusion that this will have limited impact on NEX, IAG.. EJZ etc so we could see a floor at these levels. The price of oil will be a factor too, but we are starting to get to the 125 a barrel figure which many analysts see as the top. I trimmed heavily in NEX two weeks ago and sold 2/3 of my 172k share holding at 263 which I am grateful for, but the remaining 55k shares I'm going to sit on for now as, fundamentally it's hard to draw a straight line between NEX and Ukraine ( other than fuel, which is hedged ), and I think results on the 11th should be good. I know these time are tough for PI, but hang on in there, sometimes the hardest thing to do is to do nothing. C
I've now pivoted to commodities as I think Gold and Copper are going to breakout, so have invested heavily in SOLG, a great story that is ripe for a takeover this year, anyone with spare $, could be worth a look, but as always DYOR.
Have a good week all. C
