To be fair selling some when they hit late 180's, early 190's wouldn't be a bad shout. With S&P approaching 4200, the next leg lower isn't far away and although NEX are doing well and posted great results, they will trade with the wider market. I sold 50ks worth last week for188 for a trade after buying for just above 180. Unfortunately, the markets are terrible ATM and a early to mid 170 entry point is obtainable IMHO. If we get there mid to late October, I'll be back in big time for the rally to Xmas. That's my strategy with this one. All IMHO. All the best and long term this will come good. C

Still, the assets are amazing, the demand for what we have isn't going away and the cash is running out, so someone has to show their hand sooner or later. #eyeroll... just another day as a solg shareholder, just an expensive one... on paper. I'm starting to realise the liklihood of Lasso being ousted is slim after recent legislative changes that now requires 75% of votes rather than thre 50% previously that saw off previous administrations, along with limited opposition seats...

'Meanwhile, in a virtual legislative session the opposition Union for Hope party, which is linked to former President Rafael Correa, requested the removal of Lasso. The request was based on the state of emergency declared over “grave internal commotions,” which now has been lifted.

It would take the votes of at least 92 lawmakers to remove Lasso, while the Union for Hope has only 47 seats.'

Markets seem to have liked the feds 75pt rate rise, could get a bounce tomorrow... unfortunately its still time to sell the rallies until we get the true bottom which for me looks somewhere around 3500 on the S&P now. At that level, I'll go long again here. Frustrating times, but just roll with it for now. ATB, C

Think it's going to be a tough week on this one Jtan as I'm thinking this might be the drop in the S&P that takes us below 3700. On the good news front, there is lot of commentary on this being the level cash will return to equities. I've got a bit of dry powder and if we get there, I'm adding further here. Attack the day all. SOLG to be fair to them on this topic seem to have nailed it, as they have had the environmental side of their plans as a primary concern from the outset, you only have to look at how much pr they have done in this area to see how much they value keeping the local people onside, so I'm not massively concerned on this front right now, but addmitedly it is a risk, and one I will monitor. C

My PF is heavily weighted here ATM for 2 reasons, I saw this as a relatively safe haven compared to the test of the market, and secondly news pending and numerous good indicators technically... but in a few weeks when the S&P hits 3700, could be time to pivot again, so get on with it SOLG! You're right guys, this could turn out to be a none event this summer and we may have to wait patiently a while longer, however the biggest leading indicator for me is the continual after hours big buys, someone with far deeper pockets than any of us is continually buying and I bet they've now far more than any of us muppets ;-) C

Hey Jtan, I sold most of my shares in nex when I got wind through work that Ukraine/ Russia was actually going to happen in Jan. My holding was well in excess if half a million at that point and I should have acted sooner but managed to offload most of it between 260 and 270, although I should have got rid North of 280 but never mind. I pivoted to commodities and specially SOLG who have done well and are looking like they might sell their prize asset soon... take a look. The remaining 20k shares in the wife's ISA I sold just to buy more SOLG and NEX were at 270 so looked like it was top of the range. Anyway, this should bounce if not from here, at 218 which was support a while ago. ATB, C.

Nicely summarised addicknt, I like you think this has something to do with Cascabel and realising some value on this asset. The company is going to need funds to fully explore the other license blocks, so why not pause exploration of these assets, raise some funds from Cascabel, Spin the other license blocks off into a new listing ( hence the new CFO who has the experience ), then find more tier 1 assets which the company has stated a number of times, they believe they have. Some great thoughts from all though. C

2. New look exec. team flying round the world whipping up investor support post PFS
3. The Porvenir and Tandy update , with more 'upside' to come.
4. Multiple industry news wires touting bids June ( leak IMHO )
5. Now this technical report, which addmitedly is a regulatory requirement, but with the backdrop of the above, combined with all the news about copper about to take off like GME...

Call me nieve, but given this was dropped 1st June ( the rumoured bid month ), why wouldn't this be starters orders for a dutch auction of Cascadel? Exciting times.
