I don't get it. If they had this shareholder and it is supposedly still worth that (is it?) then why is the market cap where it is, and where did they try to do a voluntary liquidation last year? Why did they place at 0.1p when the SP was 0.3p at the time, so a 66.6% discount? I can only presume that the shares they have in this other company are worth a tiny fraction of that amount now. Is the company private or suspended itself? Lazy question, I guess.

The holders likely sold them, as part of the agreement is also that the exercisers don't go over 2.99% isn't it? Even with a couple of exercisers, they would have exceeded that if they hadn't sold.

No. It went over 50p briefly when the warrant news was out there but when less people knew about it. The rise made no sense on any sort of fundamentals but it rose to those levels nonetheless. It kept rising and so people kept buying and it kept rising. Until it didn't.

I had the odd response from IR over the years but they were never particularly helpful, and as often as not would ignore completely I agree.

I miscalculated the rush to sell on this one and bought too early by the looks. Happy to add if and when it settles though as it will shift the other way quickly on good news and when the selling stops.

Yes, fair enough. This will have been an EIS or VCT investment, as that is what Octopus specialise in. So, tax relief for investors at the front end and they are now selling at a loss to presumably offset against gains made elsewhere. Just seems odd selling down here, although the profit warning so soon after admission has clearly annoyed some!

I wonder why they sold (apart from the obvious potential reasons) I'm just wondering about the timing more than anything - exactly 6 months post IPO. Was there any sort of lock-in period?

Not as much as that, I wouldn't think. Lots of volume today as well.
