RE: "What kind of sad person posts on a board where they have no shares mouse?"1 May 2026 13:03
To me, it is useful to try and guess why things like communication have been so far. It could be for one of a number of reasons, and I don't know which for sure.
It could be because the Board are just crap. Not ideal, but the business could still succeed in spite of their best efforts. Harder to achieve this than if they are competent though, obviously.
It could be because they don't care about the short term and are concentrating on growing the business for the longer term irrespective of short term movements. This is probably the most favourable scenario for holders although again, still not ideal as doing what they have promised would help with lots of things, including endearing themselves more to holders, creating a more positive and professional appearance to the wider investment community and also buying them so slack as and when things don't quite go as planned.
It could be like they are crooks and just riding the gravy train as long as they can to collect their pay checks, with no real intention of growing for holders. Not ideal this one, and also short sighted on their part if the case.
It could be that the language and cultural barrier with the UK investment community has created different expectations of what is reasonable. This should be evident by now if so though, and something that will have been fed back to them from lots of sources.
Which of these scenarios is it, or are there other possible explanations for the malaise and apathy on the part of the Board?
