MadMM, you are right, but more because the buyback will reduce the number of shares in issue. The same total earnings then equate to more earnings per share, typically generating a higher multiple price to earnings ratio for the company, and so a higher price.

As others have said though, it won't happen for a while, and not at the SP lows (paradoxical as that might seem)

That is a trade from earlier in the day, but just reported late. It could be a buy or a sell

I'm not knocking the profit per set and yes, profit is profit. It is just a lot of costs etc each time. Long time that can bite you as one day a person will sell at £9.50 for a profit and then end up buying back at £11 to sell at £11.25 for a profit and so on.

Each to their own obviously, but the post itself didn't seem worth the effort associated with the trades to me.
