Eloro it would depend on what the finance package related to, the terms and the scope before knowing whether SOLG were 'going it alone'. It does appear that Scott wants to fully derisk Cascabel before entertaining any suitors or perhaps any suitor would entertain them. If that is indeed the case we're looking at perhaps eighteen months before everything is in place.

We know the reservoir is big and we know oil has already flowed, albeit small volume.

From the data logs from the initial drill, Beacon know where the invasion was, the contractors have been very conservative in what should be a simple sidetrack, to ensure they miss any of the original issues.

There should be absolutely no reason the flow rate is not good. The initial pump has a 250 BOPD throughput so I'm expecting anywhere from 200 to 250.

If its over 200 then it's highly likely they can quickly move up to 700-900 BOPD with the ESP, and that really would be transformational.

daprophet i've always thought that spreadex would want to be completely out before the sidetrack results were known, as they have no reason to take risks. hence why we have seen multiple sales of 10m and 20m for many days...until today that is. my take is that they bundled what they had left and offloaded them in a single tranch as selling their last batch they wouldn't really care what it did to the sp..

so if indeed it was a sale (probably was) and it was them (probably was) and it was their last batch (probably was), then we should all rejoice as they've been an absolute pain in the **** suppressing the sp.

obviously i could be wrong but we'll know on tuesday because when they are finally out the sp should move up rapidly without constraint. certainly nothing to worry about regarding the sidetrack. totally unconnected in my opinion.

Blubay If this sidetrack is successful, and there's no reason to think it won't be, being cash positive around 150 BOPD is just the first step as it'll quickly be replaced with the ESP which will allow them to pump up to 900 BOPD. If that happens they'll definitely be fully funded for all future development.

And with Spreadex finally looking out we could well end up nearer to 8 by the close. Here's hoping.

Are people forgetting that BHP have a terrible relationship with SOLG? I've seen no evidence that Scott has managed to build any bridges with them at all. They seem incompetent to me, who in their right mind tells someone to sell some assets then they'll buy them? How would shareholders know what they'd get for said assets and therefore whether it was a worthwhile bid or not? Ridiculous company. I'd focus on the Chinese and steer well clear of them.

Arch, very hard to predict what the SP could be as there are too many variables, but assuming we're north of 7p upon news and assuming the flow rate is towards the top end 250 BOPD (which would also assume by switching to the ESP they could increase to 700-900 BOPD), and assuming Spreadex are finally out (because I think a lot of the 10/15m sells were theirs today) , I'd hope for 15-20p.

As and when they increase to 700-900 BOPD 32p+ doesn't seem unreasonable to Mr.

Fever quite likely Spreadex are still offloading their last fee? No matter though as a four or five fold increase highly likely from here in a very short space of time, in my opinion anyway.
