Why so much interest in Hemogenyx?

Patient 3 passes 28 days this coming week, all being well the first 3 patients will then have passed safety with no adverse effects.

Patient 4 will then be announced and in parallel Patient 1 will be chosen from pediatrics.

It’s entirely possible we’ll have 9 patients treated by December. Very exciting times ahead, especially if MDA collate enough data to issue a late submission on HG-CT-01 to ASH later this year.

And as for the word ‘Cancer’ having a line through it, maybe just maybe they’ve done that because their clinical work is eradicating it. Just a thought.

Haywain if you take the trouble to answer the question below may I ask you include an answer to one I have. If HG-CT-01 were to deliver good results to all three of the first patients treated, would I be correct in assuming the FDA are likely to step in at some point and inform Hemogenyx they will not have to treat all 18 patients in Phase 1 and that the FDA will fast track this therapy straight to phase 2 of the trial. Would you agree?

Moorscloud there are various scenarios that could play out here and indeed Hemogenyx may just choose to license their product candidates. This would likely involve upfront payments of $50m+ and milestone and royalty payments spreading over the trials of hundreds of millions if not a billion dollars.

Which ever way, if HG-CT-01 is as good as I think it is there is substantial value and upside coming to shareholders.

The thing investors should note is that whilst success of HG-CT-01 substantially derisks one of HEMO’s other product candidates, their CDX bi-specific antibody it is how the major pharmaceutical companies would react that is important.

Firstly they would not want CDX to become a competitor to HG-CT-01 so would more than likely to want both candidates. Secondly, depending on various factors they may just wish to shelve CDX and progress CAR-T as a singular unique approach. Thirdly, there’s economies of scale whereby it would be far more beneficial for a major to just purchase the company thus controlling all the IPR of Hemogenyx, which obviously includes all facets of CBR as well.

If the above scenario plays out as I expect I would anticipate a major offering in excess of $2bn to acquire Hemogenyx.

Now that’s what I call upside potential. Obviously only my personal view but that’s what I’m waiting for here.

Although it’s refreshing to see the sentiment turn positive, let’s not forget the most important reason why. Vlad and his team at Hemogenyx. Were it not for his scientific genius in developing HG-CT-01 the three patients treated to date would likely be dead, whereas to continue to live at 7, 4 and 1 month respectively. He’s taken some flak over the years, some of it rightly justified but credit where credit is due, he really does appear to have developed a ground breaking treatment for one of the most deadly cancers and difficult diseases to treat.

He certainly has my profound respect and admiration for his talent, dedication and unwavering commitment.

I never thought that over my years of investing in Hemogenyx that I’d grow to like HemoTruth and find his/her posts so amusing, or for that matter mind JHFH whittling on like an old granny.

But equally, I’ve never really realised just how strong Italian wine really is. 🤪

HG I’m still here but have been occupied with something else I’m in but I’ll be focusing on this again asap.

Hemogenyx now have approx £1.7m in the bank, patient 3 reaches 28 days next week which completes the first cohort. Then dose escalation for patient 4, a patient treated every two weeks not four and pediatrics starting and running in parallel.

This will bounce back to previous level and beyond very quickly. IMO

Bottom line is with $1.5m in the bank funding them until the end of Q1, 8 days away from completing the first cohort and moving onto dose escalation and pediatrics (which will run in parallel), the market cap will rise to a level where II’s invest taking the pressure off retail investors.

Over the next six months this could continue to rise expediently.

Socialist I concur, not only at market price but also no warrants attached. A truly excellent deal for Hemogenyx but also as it turns out for the investors too.

Houserules with Hemogenyx fully funded until patient one has hopefully lived for a year just hold tight and hang on as next stops are a £50m mcap, when the big institutional investors pile in followed by a major deal with a pharma.
