Pound sliding - so holding up well really.

Wow - just switched on the TV - SA all out 209 - didn't expect that.

I did see IAG - I couln't figure it but joined in anyway. Now I think I have it. IAG UK costs down and overseas assetts (like routes etc) all up if the pounds tanks, which I think it will. If the pound goes down - this will go down as the mobile supermarket it isn't and so then recover . I remember the day after the Brexit vote the pound and UK stocks crashed but the rest of the world carried on. Net day, the UK markets rallied. Maybe the markets have learned from that and the markets will have a violent tree shake and be headed back up by 10:30 when the Yankees concur about how rich this is going to make them as they buy us all out for a song. Of course, I could be wrong, the pound could go up tomorrow. That's all about "then" guessing what "we" will do and making sure the opposite happens, NMC cracking day - but it needs a strong pound I think. May have a rocky day tomorrow as Muddy Waters is always prepared to double up. I think your idea is great and if you're going to post your thoughts each day hour by hour - I'll be following you. Just been over to my (un) fsvoutire Brexit board to give my clear and undiluted opinion - makes me feel better (LOL).

Hi Treacle, I did that for a while and you are right. as soon as you profit from it - they make it impossible to profit from it. However as per my last post, I think all my offshore funds are in for a good day tomorrow because I think even they can't manipulate this one.

Friday afternoon's to be precise - and Monday until somewhere between 10:30 and 14:00 is panic about which way the US is going to go - although Savage Javelad will probably have decided that for everyone tomorrow. I know the market loves a hard Brexit but those guys are loonies someone has untied from their trees and I predict now the pound will crash and OCDO will be marked down significantly - but as its a US to target and big trader I think tomorrows crash will be the time to top up - JMHO and you'll have plenty of time to see the pattern I predict if it does unfold. Long term I see this either bought out at a massive premium or 50 pounds a share - but I am uber bullish about them anyway so don't listen to me.

The dog will be my daughter's emotional support dog so no (thanks goodness, we all love her to bits - not the daughter LOL). You can only get government support for a physical disability but you can pay a foundation to do your own training - and we are. She's got level I already. Gaming cos beginning with G - GAN - again sold too early - GYS - not in but I think HL recommended them. I have been in HGM, FRES and CEY. Miffed CEY outdid my goldie today - but the Russian parrot squawked well yesterday. Another mistake really, too busy following POLY to notice CEY on a charge and do a quick switch. POLY is another good long term player but HGM is the best long term (and bizarrely POG this year …). CEY just has the best recent news. I was wondering recently whether to keep them all in play and just switch around based on who's doing best that day or lagging. The nice thing with goldies is they follow the pog most of the time which follows the $ most of the time so you have some predictability. Of course that means goldies never go up in a straight line.

Hi G - 1340 never convinced me as a support level. I'm with Treacle, we need news before this starts an upward trend again. It's only because I have confidence in them as long term multibaggers that I'm going to stick around and play the range - but - if it oscillates between 1250 and 1360 10 times then that means the half I keep slicing and throwing back in will have become freebies without me even noticing - which can't be bad. Can't see it going back to 1050p again - unless the US decide to short it again.

Can you guess which goldie I hedge with ?

Hi Treacle, been trading for 7 years but would never advise anyone else when to buy or sell as I'm nowhere near a millionaire yet... That's why I predominantly stick to serial multi baggers and bagging funds plus fund managers. Never comfortable with the short covering at a certain bank but fancy a certain middle east backed health firm to see off MW and co. Missed G's last oscillation but it's top of the channel again now. My latest big mistakes were the trainer guys and the war game guys where I sold out too early and never went back - both proven serial multi baggers who've just done it again - what more can I say... well our GLT is in training to be an assistance dog so we're pleased we gradually training the muddy waters out of her - don't want any of that **** around (ha ha).

I base 1250 on the last 2 lows - it's always an ish. What I used to call support but these days you have to call it a convergence zone incase Laks is still watching. I was in IAG but timed my bail out well - can't believe the broker has a 750 target on it.

Yes I reckon as much as you are prepared to lose in about 5 single shares and the rest in proven winning cheap taxless sector funds like INRG, IITU, ISPY, INTL plus proven money managers like ICP and LIO and bad day hedge bets like IBTL and SPGP. Trouble with me is I can't stop myself having little flutters (this is not a little flutter - this is a long term hero and 1 of my current 3 big boys).

Tbh my chartism says back down to 1250 and bounce back up to 1360 again. Sliced first thing and aiming to top back up at 1250 ish. I think this needs news now. Idiots talking about clanging bells for B day is enough to take away anyone's appetite for investing in a good British company reliant on a prosperous British economy.

Its complicated by the fact the different algorithms have different, even opposite, rules. Surely though, it gives the human with a longer timescale and an emotional intellignce an advantage ? For eample, do people actually write alogrithms to deliberately trigger other peoples algorithms into error ? It is a war I would not like to become engaged with.

Yes, it is self evident that we have been re-rating since 0.12p - on rumour, inside knowledge, viscious shorting, and sneak up gaps, but re-rating none the less.
