RE: Election result13 Dec 2019 06:17
I know everyone is getting excited about the election and all, but the £ going up negates gains on foreign markets and while importers may profit exporters will be dragged down. Then there is the fact that leaving without a deal happens in January, Boris's hope is that he gets a deal by end of next year, and until that point i think the market will price in no deal. Therefore financials and even some retail may go with a boom but I'm not sure a rally for overseas earners will be as big as people think or even happen, and \i am pretty sure we will be down again - probably big time - by end of Jan. Has to be said. It is a good thing that the looney left have been heavily defeated, but I don't see them changing. A bad opposition is also a bad thing for the country
