The Wuhan medical staff were blogging like mad and the Chinese government were taking down their comments like mad but my daughter and I spent all Saturday and Sunday reading the. They blogged, "anyone of any age can get this", "this can kill anyone" (with a heavy enough viral load), "most mammals can be vectors", "it's in all bodily fluids", "you need full protective gear", "it gets in your hair and won't wash out" (and nurses were shaving their heads). All denied by the west. A week later we saw images of dead cats scattered in streets outside Wuahn flats. Cats can't fly. The real killer. The nurse who blogged about the first 40 odd cases - with the massive 50% death rate - that 30 ish were traced to the food market, but 16 were not, and when she went back to the (paper) register of patients to further trace the 15-16 others, the paper record had been tor n out by person or persons unknown The local Chinese authorities were all over this like a rash from te end of December - ask your self why. Central Chinese government did not panic until the week before the 25th - ask yourself why - and why the local health director was later fired and the military put in charge of the Wuhan BSL4 facilites. A local cover up by people who actually knew eactly what had happened and exactly what they were dealing with became national, the Chinese were responsible and shared a lot of this (not all or only under some sort of NDA) with all the big governments of the world on the 25th (US and Chinese experts saying they were briefed with surprising fankness on the weekend of the 25-26th though we never got to see a transcript of this). However, the government was still playing lets infect the prolls and let them develop herd immunity right up unitl the week before lockdown. Simple, we had no respect for the Chinese medics in Wuhan - our people have died because of our western blinkered arrogance. Final post will be about continued world power arrogance.

I started looking after the IXIC crash Friday 24th Jan - and I knew by Monday enough (like the BSL4 facility being only - as I thought 20 miles away - turns out one building is 300yds away - from the Wuhan market), judging by the reactions of all governments that this was serious. We were locking down travel by the end of net week and it was a week later the SCMP issued the account of the Chinese press conference that antibody levels can drop dramatically after viral death and I knew what the elephant in the room was - that's it. We have never faced a coronvirus we can catch twice - that is a killer - and can weaken those who survive permenantly ready for the next dose. SCMP post was taken down within the hour but you can't do that to youtube and the youtube video of the conference was still available thereafter. So all the stores coming from Wuhan about the roads being blocked to five cities and the - as I thought - ridiculous statement China was contemplaing nuking those cities - on the 25th Jan - did not seem so daft. Of course by the 26th about 20% of the Wuhan population had legged it out of Hubei province so that is when China went and fessed up to the west. Net post will deal with the medical rather than political development and out appauling racist attitudes.

Just buy the dips and slice the rises and as long as there is hope, you will accumulate cash - and shares - and if you balance the cash accumated against the shares held, you will be hedged. We also have a gold mine. It seems to require even more patience, but is a less risky proposition. Just remember "... tomorrow. Your always a day away", but don't "..bet you bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun". Everyone wants to win, Zimbabwe and Rumania want to win. VAST want to win. As long as that is the case, there is hope.

Interesting analysis -I hold all the others and have held HUM but always it seems at the wrong time. I have been selling into the rise on all of them and have not re topped up on POG yet... I dtill have a slice set for 26.5 which was hit but didn't complete. However I will revist HUM yet again when the current US short on gold is completed.

Some posters are pai derampers - they have been called out - they all deny it - and they all remind me of the orange bird brain who suggests we all inject domestos. Go inject some domestos mate.

I had one at 26.5p - it hit 26.5p but didn't activate. Pity - I would have bought it back again down where it is now. In this and my other goldies for the long haul but you have to slice the rises and buy the dips - rude not to...

Tigg, I think more generally, the sheenanigans about oil and gold prices is clearly turning into a three way game between the two big boys - US and China, and the master chess player of the tiddler Russia. I often note its gold up when its oil down and vice versa - and Russia produces gold and oil. So my current view is every day, whatever I expect the direction to be tomorrow is as equally likely to be wrong as right - its Vlad who's pulling the yoyo strings. I have never been able to read him short term, but I know he always wins - they play too much chess in Russia !

The US shorts gold -under government influence - because it would rather people put money into more useful things - which much as I like knocking the US government - I find I have to applaud. Gold usually rises when the dollar falls - and I think the US would like the dollar lower so there is a tension there. Gold has long been seen as a safe haven but it wasn't this spring. I read a lot about crypto currencies being the new safe haven. The dollar is up and down like... whatever. I think many other countries would like to move away from the dollar exchange currency and I don't think they want to move back to gold - if they did - gold would have to monster from here - say x10 - to cover the national debts not just of the US but everyone else as well - and renormalise against the price of consumer goods eg houses. Properly governed cryptos should be safer than fiat currencies or gold given the way it is often manipulated. I think the US is loosing world influence and China and Russia are gaining influence and it depends what they want to do. What is more, I don't think they want to give the game away about whether they will switch to crypto based exchange or gold based exchange or some "basket of currencies" exchange currency - but I think we will see a move on this massive issue sometime in the next 2 years - this really is JMHO. If its gold - there will be an awful lot of people taking up digging the stuff up as the price rockets - which to be fair - may not be the best outcome.

So that is why it started creeping up on Friday - all my other goldies were falling due to the US shorters making hay as they sold off gold.

I had that flu as well - Dec 31st Jan 1st fever - bronchitus developing from the 4th as a dry cough - pneumonia developing to a point by the 29th Jan when I had to visit the docs. Now the interesting bit - 2 courses of antibios, the crap ones then the kill everything ones - which had a temporary effect at a time when I was thinking my body could not cope - but the pneumonia lingered right through until end of March. Told by the NHS no couldn't be etc etc but my work colleague returned from Shenzhen the day I finished for Christmas 20th Dec (next door to Hubeii and in contact with automotive people. So I thought bacterial pneumonia, so can't be C19 - until all the stuff came out about c19 acting in consort with secondary bacterial infections - and by then it was pointless - but I am glad someone else is suspiscous of the same,

Spot on - no herd immunity - no vaccine - just treatment and testing - and it might mutate although that doesn't seem to be happening quickly, Add to these things, the other things the Wuhan doctors were talking about in January - pets as vectors - denied strenuously until the tiger in the Bronx go it - and viral load - even with antibodies -a large dose can probably overwhelm your defences. The conspiracy that really sickens me is the Sino-US-Russian-British denial of the obvious. There are no natural precursors for SARs and HIV elements in this virus;s RNA - they are not just inserts - they have modified base sequences to produce the "correct" SARs and HIV surface shapes in the proteins - but inserts they are - blatant RNA fingerprints of how this virus came to be. Add to that the mysterious 15 or so who's names were hidden from the nurses doing the initial contact checking on the first 40 odd cases - the ones who were not connected to the live food market 300 yards from the nearest BSL4 building of the only facility in China capable of making and researching bioweapons - and no explanation of the 50% fatality rate in the first 40 - including all the unknown - and no explanation - and no open investigation. That is all fact - the next bit is rumour. 1 social media report nearly 2 months later that the missing dead unknowns were a clean up team from the BSL4 building. Add to that the swift drastic response of the Chinese authorities and then the rest of the world. And to that the dose effect - small dose = no disease - large dose = your dead whatever you do - intermediate dose means you fill up every hospital, occupy total government attention and product denial of service on an international level. Yep its a prototype bioweapon escapee and the reason every government denies this is they all have small wotsits and want to compensate by having total power over the people of the world. This has horribly backfired on them because they now realise - as stated in Jurassic Park - that you cannot contain life ... life will find a way - and what they were creating was not alive - but they were to arrogant to realise it was life - and it would, has, and will continue forever more now to find a way. The human race created this mess, and it will haunt the human race, and apparently cats at least - until we leave this mortal coil. Only all the people of the world - shouting with one accord - can stop this madness being compounded. We must all unite to say to our governments "stop bioweapon and all WMD research now !" . And when you lose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown.

So good news - but not for all the British testing stocks...
