Yes but look at how lousy our recovery rate is - China never dipped below 1 1 recovery for every death - you might expect to see this ratio rise eventually - but I think this is indicative of how ill prepared we are and the validity - for him anyway - of BJs let everyone else get it first while I run away and hide approach.

I think we have to do everything we can to slow this down while we can until we find a way of dealing with it we are 99% confident will work.

And what is going to get it under control - a vaccine is at the most optimistic 12 months away, and treatment probably longer save for some minor effect from repurposed drugs. I can't see levels of infection falling before the winter at the earliest - and recovery will be long and slow for those worst affected so an overhang there. On top of that so many jobs lost and a world economy gutted - and lets ignore the chance of new strains coming along and having to go through it all over again.

ASX swung from 8% down to 4% up before close !
