I hope Dan is incorrect in his ominous warning, as I've been holding these shares for a long time in the hope of paying for a new fitted kitchen, a new bathroom and a new car with the proceeds...

I can still see Dan's clarity statement on my windows mobile phone, but it's not on here. He said that it was interesting to watch as you get to see the sentiment of the MM's and how they work increasing / decreasing spread. Does anyone know how the MM's decide what the spread should be at any given time?

If there are any people who have taken liquid's assertion at face value without checking for themselves, would they please post here and let everyone know that Dan Brown has saved them from making a terrible mistake because of "false" information. Out of all the shares on AIM, how did you come to focus on this one Dan, even though you're not invested in KBE?

Dan is quite right to point out the debt and the risk involved here. This share is a gamble but there are signs that it could take off . If you look at the chart for Orchard before it went into administration there was no big sp increase before it did so. Orchard didn't have such a strong parent company and most of its shares weren't owned by those who ultimately controlled it. Orchard wasn't a small cog in a much larger machine. Like other people, I do wonder why Dan posts here-I couldn't be bothered to post about a share in which I had no financial interest, and don't feel a pressing need to inform people of the dangers of a share out of altruism-and certainly not repeatedly, over a period of time.

It was just a spike. I think some gullible people lost money on it. The sp "climbed" back quickly, didn't it? I don't think anyone's giving small fry private investors interest free loans.

Real Property Investment will get their money back from the sale of KBE's Canadian properties. That loan is effectively secured. Whether small fry like us will get back the money we paid for KBE shares is another matter. It' snot a gamble for RPI but it is for us.

The question is whether these "connections" are going to make any difference to the tiddler shareholders of a company that has a capitalisation of not much more than the price of an ordinary London house.It's a long shot, a gamble, pure and simple. You can post here all day until you're blue in the face, but the fact is that there has been no significant change. If and only if there is news of another disposal that somehow pays off the debt will this really take off.

Those "60% a day" price rises won't happen every day and have not been happening every day, because they are part of spikes. Just look at the chart. The price is going down already after the most recent mini-spike. On every spike some clueless hopefuls lose money.

It depends on the period over which you measure the "rise". The sp was much higher back in the day , when it was called Engel East Europe. If you look at that, we are talking a vast drop in sp . Or just have a look at the long term chart.

KBE has about 1000 units planned for development in Canada. That stands out because the company was supposed to be focussed on East Europe, so maybe there will be some unexpected news.

Yes, according to the Sodastream website, David Morris , a director, is an advisor to Real Property Investment, the company that bought 6.4% of KBE this February. Real Property Investment is a major shareholder in Sodastream. I think its shares in sodastream are worth about 28 million dollars, if what I read is correct and up to date. Why Real Property Investment bought KBE-I have no idea but there must have been a very good reason.

What I do think is a positive point is that for some reason or reasons, the ultimate owner of most of KBE wants to keep it afloat and has been doing so for years, even though it's been losing money. You know the company was suspended from AIM a few years ago, right and shareholders were likely to lose everything, yes? I don't know-and you don't know -for how the current situation will go on. I don't think you have a logical argument when you say that they're billionaires and because the banks have lent the money we have nothing to worry about. I don't think small shareholders are at the top of their list of priorities , or even on the list at all. It's a gamble, pure and simple. Perhaps some property deal is going on in the background that will transform KBE?

Please tell us: which of KBE's assets could they sell to pay off all of their debts then?

I don't think it was part of the "original plan" to have so much debt. I think the plan must have involved making a profit.
