Totally agree, I really think this is it, rkh has turned the corner. With the arbitration award just around the corner etc etc things are definitely on the up. Been a long wait but many of us thought the good times would eventually arrive but boy, the wait has been interminable.

USA shale rigs are down to between 100-200. At the peak it was over 600 drilling rigs and teams.
The average depletion for these wells is 30% annually so that’s why they need to constantly drill. Many of the sweet spots have gone. There have been mass bankruptcies and investors realise they will never get their money back. From where they are now it will take at least 2 years to get back upto the 600+ rigs. It’s not going to happen, the money won’t be there. That money pit is over.
Once the pandemic is finally over, stored oil will be used and the USA will have a large deficit. Many think they are screwed!
Conventional discovered oil will be a bonus.

The Isobel discovery was not finally appraised because the rig broke down ie turned out to be not fit for purpose but the discovery ie the column of oil was very very encouraging.

Adonis, you seem to have neglected purposely or not the Isobel drill which showed a huge column of oil and is thought to hold more oil than Sealion.

We’ve had a financial crisis, a pandemic, all had to be weathered. These were not of PMO OR RKH making.
Things are beginning to fall into place.
Yes Rkh has 30% of Sealion, please don’t try to make out this is worthless, it’s not. 30% of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing. Rkh also holds 30% or upwards in other north Falkland blocks. Never was one oil field found in isolation.
In addition Rkh has substantial interests in the south Falkland basin as a result of the demise of FOGL and Desire. All more likely to be developed once the infrastructure is in place.
