Many small oil companies are a punt, usually on drill success. What makes Rockhopper stand out from the crowd is that they have unlike many others a fully appraised asset, Sealion. A large field with decent quality oil, THATS A FACT NOT FICTION.
In addition several other drills had oil shows most notably Isobel which had a large oil column and is thought to be bigger than Sealion.
There’s no debating this, Rockhopper has great potential and the derampers are doing their upmost to deceive the genuine investor.
Ok the wait has been long, too long for some but that amount of oil will not go untapped for ever.
These day traders are deramping hoping to make lots of money on a relating likely from the obrinamare outcome, due anytime.

The future is bright for Rockhopper, there’s even talk of oil 2027-2030 being $130 a barrel. Perfect timing for the falklands.
Unlike these derampers, companies plan years ahead, they aren’t interested in tomorrow .

I’ve used the present crisis to buy plenty of Rkh at around 6p. All are in the isa so future profits are tax free. Also bought loads of pmo at 14p. Now sitting on profit of around 230%. Where there is confusion there is profit !!!

Keeping it simple, I’m a long term investor and am happy with how things are going. I’ve used the recent collapse in ALL markets to average down.

Nice lecture Fuddstone. Basically it’s a case of doing thorough research. I have ,and I’m happy with Rockhopper and the prospects. Nothing is certain but with the amount of oil in place etc etc this WILL happen.
The time now seems right, there have been setbacks but I believe the worst is behind us.

I do believe Rkh probably had to ditch the Egyptian projects to proceed with Navitas but retained via shares a 18.5% interest so with the well success and good Jamaican assets Rkh were smart to keep a foot in there.
You don’t mention the ombrina mare arbitration. Obviously that is likely to bring money in so would damage your negative vibes.
Rkh paid in the region of 50 million dollars so that and a calculation of profits means the award is likely to be quite substantial.
Money has been spend by Rkh along with PMO to forward the Sealion project.
