Those are some rough figures. But that sounds perfectly reasonable over a 20 year time-span.

There is, I just didn't know if you had access to it.

Site staff would have some of the site analytics data which would definitely include traffic. But aside from them and the site host, nobody else would know for certain. Some sites infer stats using other sources though, and this link makes your "visitors from all around the world" claim seem a bit doubtful.

I think you're vastly overestimating how much influence this board has if you think it's worth posting here day-in day-out to try to affect the price. Besides, he raises some very valid points.

You've got countless drug developers, software companies (including those that collapsed when the dotcom bubble burst). Some go on to be successful, others fall at the second or third hurdle. DVRG could go either way and this seems like an appropriate place to raise valid concerns. I suspect the threat of yet another merger could be holding us back right now.

aandi, yes it's non-recyclable domestic and commercial waste-to-fuel. Gasification partner is TRI (ThermoChem Recovery Int), the same as its Natchez biomass plant.

You're technically correct but, again, missing the point. The press release states they'll be using the gasification and FT synthesis technology they used at the biojet-fuel demonstration plant which, as we know, is Velocys' equipment.

So the point of today's announcement is that Velocys has already proven itself for this project and the study is about whether biofuel production is practical and economical for their purposes.

No, you've misread it or misunderstood. It's a two year study, and construction begins at the end if they're happy with the outcome. Why do you even bother?

Alkin, I haven't seen any guarantee the company is even going to be given the phase 2 data.

Unless I see it written somewhere I'll assume it's possible they won't. But they should receive some unblinded phase 3 data next month, as it says in the latest update.

I know and I wasn't trying to suggest otherwise. Drug trials can easily take a decade and the approval application in the US can run to 100,000 pages. It's a tremendous amount of work.

Maybe that's why I couldn't believe the suggestion that a medical device could be rolled out this year when we haven't even had any positive results from the trial in over 8 months. I would've expected any positive news to have been well publicized. But I could be wrong. We'll see what the next few months brings.

David, you're comparing trials of a medical device to trials of an untested chemical on people who are already ill.

They're vastly different. The risks are not on the same scale. Not even close.

However, I acknowledge it's still a lengthy, scientific process. That's why I would expect to be given details of further trials and updated on expected timescales. That's the bare minimum we should expect.

How is rollout this year in any way achievable if the the trials haven't yet been completed, let alone analysed, and if manufacture is not already well underway? I just don't believe it's possible.

Gerard, thanks for the input. But it's not the details we've already be given I have an issue with. It's the lack of any apparent plan since then.

Several reasons, in fact.

Last year's share price movements show that investors were pinning their hopes on the breathalyser. It climbed from 30p to 70p on the breathalyser hype, then dropped back down the day of the presentation.

Then we were told the testing was going well, which should have been good news. But instead of keeping us informed about further trials that would lead to regulator approval (i.e. number of participants, estimated completion time) it's all being glossed over. They don't even seem to have discussed with the regulator what data they actually need to see.

And as I said yesterday, no CEO would agree to an NDA prohibiting them from talking about their own trials on their own product.

David, you can't compare a drug trial to one for a testing device. There's virtually no risk to the participants in this trial. No side effects and no harm to them if it's shown not to work. It's entirely different from giving an untested chemical to someone who's already ill.

If last year's results were as good as has been suggested, much larger trials would be underway. The research would likely be published for peer review, licensees or partnerships lined up and - most tellingly of all - the company would be making sure as many people as possible knew all of that.
