I am about to post a more comprehensive update, but let me try and help you with your question...
I have done a lot of research into this - the takeover code is complex and best consumer by those with legal training (i dont)
From what i can make out, there is no formal limit on how long it can stay open in some circumstances.
If the MMAG has declared a "Formal Sales Process" it affords them a number of exemptions that can make it easier for both the offeree and potential interested parties.
However, the code suggests that the RNS would have to explicitly say tha the cpmpany was conducting a Strategic Review or Formal Sales Process in order to potentially qualify. I'm not certain they have.
Howvere, they have very clearly signalled in an RNS that they are seeking potebtial buyers of the 100% of the called up share capital.
My working assumption is that the "Offer period" will remain open until such time the company receive a Bid or chosse a different course of action.
I hope that helps -please DYOR . I am not a lawyer and the code is complicated.
I dropped a note to MMAG investor relations. I did get a response - but they would not answer any of my questions. There repsone was that everything they have alreasy shared everything that they can share can share at this stage .
