I think these wells first8 Oct 2013 20:05
Came to light when the PSC licences came into question, how many is anyone's guess, so negotiations have probably been taking place already, could be as long ago as when licences were re issued, as RG has a working relationship with them.
Why else would licences be called into question by the Chinese company's , you wouldn't knowingly drill on other company's lots, the company's in question must have thought they owned them ??
GDG won't have to pay for these wells and evaluation and other works necessary can be carried out by GDL and GET, no real judicial deliberations will be needed its just a matter of whether GDG sell off part of the GSS block where most have been drilled, value much increased thanks to no. Of wells, already drilled.
2 nd scenario is that GDG take over all the wells.
3rd is that they buy the whole company lock stock and barrel.
I can't really see a downside for GDG in this situation and it could be good for there spin offs as well due to the amount of work that could be created to get the most out of the wells already drilled, any thoughts GLA
