Good post. I think the Ioxus deal shows to the Maxwell team that CPX is flexible and pragmatic; ie they are hopeful of doing some sort of commercial deal and having a constructive relationship going forward.
A court win would confirm the IP.
I'm not so convinced about massive new Royalty streams going forward but CPX is now set to become (maybe already?) a profitable manufacturing company in its own right with a global footprint in a rapidly growing market sector.
I don't think 20p would overvalue the enterprise.....target for calendar year end.
50p next year.

The market cap is way too low for what the company has IMO.
Trying to think if there any implications for the Tesla case.
Looking at this the Tesla management and lawyers would I think see that Cpx is happy to strike a commercial deal of some sort recognizing its patent position. I think there are growing grounds for Tesla to settle and do a deal rather than continue fighting.

Yes it looks as though there is an end game in sight somewhere. I still think the best way is for some sort of prior agreement rather than a victory in court. So hopefully a settlement prior to a jury trial ....damages payment as a one off and then ongoing royalty arrangement. That would lock in CPX's patent position.

Marsden doesn't mind racking up costs as it's not his money. Once he has run out of this cash he will be back cap in hand to fund his lavish lifestyle.

Just trying to think ahead a bit. The huge dispute between Musk and Twitter has I think played perfectly into CPX hands.
I don't have a view on that case outcome or how it might progress but many believe that Musk is under pressure here. The last thing he needs is another legal case running which in extremis might end up with a jury trial. The court of public opinion might be a bit negative.

IF Tesla is the owner of Maxwell and Tesla is owned by Elon Musk and he is not now bidding for Twitter does that mean he might have some spare cash to play with.?

Not sure where you are coming from. By inference you would imply that the case is acting as a massive drain on sentiment towards the shares if you believe that the result (positive?!) could change all our lives.
I think the sp more reflects general apathy towards AIM/tech/non-profit companies.
I happen to believe the valuation here is bonkers for what they have and the potential. Suspect holders of many other stocks think the same way.

Yes it doesn't look very clever to bang on a load of costs (mainly personnel) just prior to the failure.
The message from the DDDD fiasco should be that careful management of costs is vital as access to capital markets is limited at present.

Why doesn't Dr Gilbert step up to non-exec Chairman or ceo? He seems to know what he is doing. If he doesn't have time for full time ceo role then Chairman might fit. He must know people who could be added to the Board. Would give a bit of clarity to the market.

I like the idea of 35p. That would equate to a valuation of £178m..it is not unreasonable if the company can demonstrate it is on a fast earnings growth trajectory. I think it will happen but not sure when.
Shame that the Maxwell case hangs over the company. There will be no new royalty streams until it is resolved either way.
I sometimes wonder what the end game is for AK...surely we are not going to going on for another 10years like this. The lack of share price support suggests he does hot see himself as vulnerable to a bid.
The sp used to bother me but less so now. AIM is a rotten and probably corrupt platform so the share price on a particular day doesn't signify overly much.

Last year there was a pre close trading update in June. Not so this year. I don't take as either positive or negative.

That was my take as well in that she does not appear to be a qualified lawyer.

The Nanoco/Samsung saga is certainly interesting. Much more in the public domain so to speak.

It is difficult to figure out what is going on in the legal case though there is clearly plenty of activity.
I'm half following the Nanoco/Samsung case. Not saying it's similar but there is much more info in the public domain.
The Nanoco ceo has stated publicly he is open to settlement and all the judgements to date have gone in favour of Nanoco.
Hope something positive comes out of this long and expensive process for CPX and it's long suffering shareholders!

Is there actually anything of value in this company. Maybe Ann left because she realized there was nothing of any commercial value. A bit like getting a car delivered to your house ..it doesn't seem to work so you look in the bonnet and see it has no engine.

I think this announcement has more significance than the market realises. Perhaps it could herald the use of supercaps in phones?

It rather boils down as to whether you think a cap of £22m fully values what they have or doesn't .
Sadly, and particularly on AIM, the share price at any point in time is not of a reflection of anything of long term significance.
At the present time anything tech/bio related seems to be out of favour and there is something of a buyers strike!
