RE: TW trying to get it suspended again25 Mar 2021 14:10
We are a plc not a limited company therefore this statement is more accurate:
"In usual circumstances, a public company must hold an AGM within six months from the end of its financial accounting period (or such earlier date as may be specified in its Articles), following which, the company’s annual accounts (which must be laid before the meeting) must be filed within the same time period. Private companies are not required to hold AGMs under statute, but they may be required to do so by their Articles, so this note applies to those private companies as well."
"A public company within six months beginning with the day following its accounting reference date (section 336(1), Companies Act 2006); or
A private company which is a traded company in each period of nine months beginning with the day following its accounting reference date (section 336(1A), Companies Act 2006).
Our financial year ended December so AZ still has a few more months before he must hold an AGM. Either way TW is talking out of his backside.
