Bunks...yes I do not think oil price will fall off the cliff soon and KSA cannot survive with low oil price and will do everything to have the oil price heading back towards $80 even if they have to walk away from opec and do it alone. There is a limit to stop answering the calls by DT and not answering his telephone calls!
Russia in a difficult position but will tow the line with KSA tohave more influence in the middle east influentials countries.
Usa will have to accept at the end higher oil price set by KSA to keep its strong position in that area to balance Iranian threats.
So tomorrow volatility maybe an opportunity to snap some good value oil companies.
So do not be fearful....good shares always realise its value .

Well..it is a carnage with oil price and we are in the middle of DT tantrums and opec . The market is taking advantage of this swings in oil price and I cannotsee an end soon. So mayhems continue for a little longer

I am watching oil tiddlers which are reacting violently down when oil dips like this.
There are some out there that started to look attractive and ripe for pickings.

The sp dropped over 30% since its peak this year but so are many others in different sectors and some recovered well as their fundementals are strong and continued to make good profits and growth. The market as we can see is very volatile and so are the commodity prices because of many factors including DT interference and life is not easy with him.
In case of G and GKP and both are now form significant portion of my holdings...I am not really greatly worried about the temporary drops in the sp as all fundementals are intact and nothing changed apart from that both are in a much better shape. Well I am holding strong and believe that in the coming weeks,months we will be in a better position with regard to sp.
I had this kind of experience in a few shares I held before and they all recovered well and made me great profits such as PFC,HIK and ACA and RRS.
Please do not despair as long as you hold a good share with strong fundementals..ultimately they will recover and make you a decent profit though not necessarily today or tomorrow but certainly in the coming weeks or months.
This scenario always happens in volatility in the market or certain sectors but always recover and move forwards.

Well....Just maybe we are due for rebound soon and this weekend oil cartels meeting is most important.
I added more gkp than genl! And for me fundementals are strong and really these two are bargains now.
Both these companies depend on many factors more than oil price. Geopolitical stability will play more crucial role here and must come about in the interest of all parties involved.
No fears here but remember to diversify and never put all your eggs in one basket...

Genel Energy

DNO has put out a Tawke update which states that in the fourth quarter Peshkabir has ramped up to over 50/- b /d from six wells coming in ahead of target and below budget. With the seventh well expected to start producing shortly and the next, Peshkabir-9 due to spud in mid-November. The Tawke field also saw two shallow wells come on stream during October with the deeper 49 well following later this month.

Finally the Tawke-52 Cretaceous well will spud by the end of November. Overall Tawke is producing at an average rate of 80/- b/d and the operator expects to exit the year with production from the PSC of at least 130/- b/d. Obviously this is very good news for Genel who continue to deliver excellent numbers giving first class numbers which will be reflected at the next update.

Well...heading towards my Friday club target.slowley but surely, .fingers crossed!

Then the price of oil and costs would alter these figures fairly rapidly and will affect TLW most with its huge debts.
In a sense of this calculation the safest here with rising cash is G then gkp.

Well owning the three of them seems a good bet providing everything stays the same with oil price steady.

Lemming...This is great calculations..
That means gkp is best among the three of them and G is coming last here

However all three seem very healthy anyway and well below 10

I am now started to look at G in a slightly different way from others.....under performing sp recently is a pain and yes I am one of those who is moaning but if we look how much this share gave the share holders so far and how safe it is at this low valuation sp level...then the picture would definitely looks brighter. For e.g ..growing cash pile now must be considered shareholder profit....reducing debt should be considered profits to shareholders too ...and as growing assets and more oil are profits too to shareholders....and so on.
Is G safe share to hold ..yes as it is underpinned by assets ,growing cash and production with genuinely proven prospects of further discoveries in areas rich in oil and gas. I do not feel we are in any danger of further excessive downwards movements but the upside here dominates the play now.
I am still in a bit of profits here but obviously far less than two months ago but I will keep on holding G as a core of my portfolios but I am also heavily invested in precious metals mines for the time being of market instability.

I am not so sure buying its own share or gving dividends is going to move this sp very far at this stage.
Let’s not forget the whole market is down now and still looking unsure of its directions.Generally speaking the majority of shares have been hammered down.
My guess would be a take over or merger still!
