...and just looked at dow ,it is nearly 700 points down so my hope for G sp is dashed even if oil price goes up....that is me ranting for tonight ... but hope G would surprise us all as it did many times before ...

Boyobach...I am not so sure to agree with you on this when we compare G sp movements with others today,the drop was huge in comparison with others and if your thinking is right so why this sp movements did not take place with others. G share we hold as most of us think it is a undervalued by big margins so why would you want to take profits at this low sp and when the oil price was rising in early morning but G sp dropped big time when trading starts this morning...I am just puzzled if we are not knowing something here or just as JFT explained which I am totally sympathetic to this view.

It became a joke I Thankfully I have others oily doing far better than this dog.
Lets hope tomorrow is a better day .

I started to think DT talks the talks but in reality he does not want to get involved in a big conflict so he compromises and reverse his rhetoric talks whenthe other side turns the heat on him. He did this with North K and Iranian sanctions with exemptions! That is why the oil market is not believing him at present. Though he may walk into military conflict in the Gulf by default or accidental! and the op will shoot up. For now Iran is calling the shots....but lets see.
G performance today showed us how irrational sp movements can be for investors like you and me.

JustinD...I think the rise of sp to £3 then was speculation ,hopes and gradually reality comes to place. I have a lot in G and GKP in addition to others but I would not add more until I see more visibility and settings in Geopolitical issues in Baghdad and Erbil..otherwise it is buying the unknown speculations and hopes. Imo

The most essential part of flourishing G and its sp is the geopolitical settlement there in Iraq and Erbik and this has not fully resolved as full government is still lacking complete formations and disputing posts in Defence and Home Officeand security ministries are vacant. Oil price does play part but I think Geopolitical issues in our case are more essential as G is beleaguered by these matters. No body will seriously consider a bid or acquisition for a company in unsecured and unsettled political environment. It will settle but when!?

Hydrogen...Regarding Gold mines..I like ACA and FRES but both carry risks but undervalued by a big margins.
ACA in a big dispute with Government of Tanzania but a new trusted team is negotiating under the well respected ceo of RRS ( and now of both ABX and RRS) who is well respected in Africa and ACA may well be bought by the group at big premium and this is what I am hoping! I have a stop loss on this one and 20% above my buying price.

FRES is also at risk of the new Maxican socialist government regulation put forwards by a senator in the parliament there but I think the sp is in oversold territory and the whole issue is overblown.

I am no expert so please do your own research as I might be completely wrong in my analysis and speculations.

I am sorry I have no idea about PVR and never considered it.
I only invest in companies with EV/EBITDA of less than 10 and actually producing and making profit and can manage their debts with good plans of growth and expansions.
I do not like companies with big promises but not substantiated solidly.
I do not buy on charts either and very sceptical about charting shares progress but like the comparison like what Boyo does.
As I mentioned earlier I am rather worried about the oil price in the second half of next year when shale produce more and more and not enough demands in the world. Gold mine shares look good value to me and bought big recently to balance the portfolio..

I did well with faroe though I had far more before the bid but sold at 155 half. I am happy too with my AMER holdings and recently bought ENQ ! Results this week because of their heavy involvement in the North sea regions as I think that part of uk is booming with these companies..

Back to G still in a tiny profit but still hopeful though worried about oil price in the second half of next year so I hope to rotate my holdings before then.

FAROE is vulnerable now as DNO has already 28% shareholding but I hope the rest of shareholders rejects it me included. I hold a reasonable amount of FAROE for over six months and other oilies a part from G and GKP with gold mines and I would not add more to FAROE because as mentioned above of DNO position now but I hope they will raise the bid price soon.

Brexit deal means surrender our sovereignty to EU for good and be controlled by their laws and regulations.
It is like you live in your house and your neighbors have the right to get in your back garden and share what ever grows on your land ,then you are not allowed to move house unless your neighbors agree to it.

But do the Brexiteers have a safe strategy or may be we should all vote on this deal!

G is a perfect target for a take over now...great cheap value, progressive growth with gas, sp is depressed,huge assets,cash cow,little debt if any of value now , EV/EBITDA is below 2 the lowest in the oil companies and low pound sterling exchange.

Big boys surely are considering..opportunity not to be missed at present and maybe that is why it is all quiet from G management.....just a thought

All good shares will recover ..it is just we are going through market volatility,correction..you name it but this is the nature and path of investing in stock market. Hopefully no body needs to cash his paper loss at present then all will recover and ultimately comes to its real value. I never lost in a good value with strong fundementals on timescale of 2-3 years before. Hopefully you diversifed your portfolio too.
And let us not forget investing in commodities in its nature neans volatility and it is a high risks/high reward strategy.
G and GKP hardly affected by any debt risks in comparison to a big oil companies like BP debt of $42 billion and shell debt $72 billions and chevron $100 billions debt!
G and GKP are best oil companies on the market from their stability and values.
Sp is depressed and hammered down now but others too and look at technology like Apple share which has lost 120 billion dollar of its share value in one month!! It is the turmoils of the market and not share or company specific.
Do not panick and no body can time the market..just we need to accept this and be patient.
Oil price will recover as the main supplier countries need a higher price oil otherwise their economy will collapse and DT effect cannot last longer.

We had oil price rising to near $65 ,over $3 two days back then by the end of the same day reversed to loss!

We have a 12 years old playing with his computers by tweeting nonsensical statements to his subservient but causing mayhem and hurts to citizens around the world....then here we have a ploy to force us to Vote for betrayal and they may even crash the market to scares us Or betray and give up resisting and objecting.
Think about it! A few weeks ago we had undersupply and now we have huge glut of supply and lower demand...it is all manipulation.

Just ignore and revisit in a few weeks and things will be very different. !

JL..I can not add more than what you said and I agree on every word.
I blame David C who told us that he would stay to see us through with EU negotiations irrespective of what the nation voted and we believed him ,then what happened after the vote results is a betrayal by him after which he just resigned. We are now left with incompetent lot!
Never trust a politician...most if not all of them are out to line their pocket .
Unsatisfactory and messy situation no matter what the endgame come March 2019.

DT is causing havocs to the markets around the world...the minute he opens his mouth or even better by tweeting the stock markets around the world responds. There is no other dynamic stronger than his at present.
It is a sad time there will be no free market movements on fundementals.
Oil price is traded for blood and principles are put in the cupboard for now and we will all pay heavy price for this and our riches cannot save us from This unbalanced world..very sad and worrying.

We no longer able to trust this market and commodity prices as all will be manipulated by the head DT and forget about everything else.
