A trading and operations update from Genel this morning hot on the heels of yesterday’s excellent news from Peshkabir where production has ramped up to 50,000 b/d ahead of year end target and below budget. Today they add that production will be slightly above current guidance of 32,800 b/d with exit rate end of year production considerably higher than this figure.<br /><br />This feeds through to the incredibly positive free cash flow number of $119m in the first 9 months against $70m in H1 and capex of $62m. With the post period end receipt of $32m relating to July exports the company is now in a net cash position.<br /><br />Things are looking pretty good at Genel as they rapidly increase production and thus cash, with drilling on Taq Taq and Tawke fields providing potential for working interest production to grow. All these factors make me think that there is considerable upside for Genel from these levels and that’s before Bina Bawi oil or gas……

Disappointing performance.....still puzzled and hope for a rise in sp next week.
I am sticking with it for its great fundementals and hope for a reversal in sp soon!

More good news from Genel today as they report that DNO has set a new Peshkabir production target of 50,000 bopd by the year end and the programme has raised the previous field 1P and 2P reserve estimates. Peshkabir 6 and 7 completed in August and are about to undergo rigless testing lasting several weeks. This will be followed by P-8 which spuds in ten days and P-9 in October.

Development drilling at the Tawke field is set to resume shortly where the work over programme has stabilised production at above 85,000 bopd. All in all this makes Genel look very strong right now, Peshkabir is delivering in spades, Tawke is on the mend and the oil and gas at Bina Bawi and Miran provide significant scope for medium and long term upside.

Market is very nervous...alot of geopolitical uncertainty.

Well...I think yesterday dip in sp was a temporary thing and profit taking by day traders and to get rid of weak holders.
The only way is up and all is good. Happy with my purchase yesterday and was an oppurtunity not to miss. I am heavily loaded with it and relatively smaller holding of gkp.
Nothing to dislike about G but a lot to like and prosper with it. Good solid foundation company will always shine and prosper sooner or later. MMs are playing up with sp for a few days.

Added more at 287 to my lots!

Guys..stop discussing just blooooody buy then sit and watch the sp climbs up .....yes money does grow on trees in G case!
This is just the continuation of upwards movements supported massively by today RNS......I am waiting for £6 sp.
