Well they are very healthy and severely undervalued in comparison to industry average. In fact GKP even in thiese measures is marginally healthier but look at the sp lately and today. Market makers manipulation to buy cheaply before the good news announcement...always happen.

Bacchusll...agree with you my crystal ball did not work today though my gold mine shares did very well today so over all have not done badly . One day down or up does not matter as long as you hold a good share.

Ocelo....Yes and now they feel he fooled them and they are angry and no doubt KSA needs the oil price much higher for their economy and even Putin comments the oil price is low now. This week inventories numbers are important and the talked about big oil cuts by opec and non opec cartels on 6/12 meeting will push oil up.
I agree with the views that we are at the bottom of oil price and the only way would be up.

Today Genl and the rest of oilies were very shaky and we were hammered down but tomorrow will be a better day for oil price and hopefully G,GKP and my new addition pmo!

I am glad you picked pmo for comparison as I feel that it has been punished unfairly and more so after its latest trading update. Sp now is 44% down from its heights this year in a matter of weeks. It is now undervalued and oversold imo and I bought a chunk of it on Friday. There was a good article about it in the telegraph last Thursday.

Our beloved G is still my biggest holdings among oilies and have not sold any but in fact added a few more and gkp was added too.
Next week will be interesting to oil price.

It looks like KSA is very serious about getting the oil price up and they are supported by Putin Russia. KSA is not only cutting the oil export but also lowering barrels loads to USA shipping to get their inventories down.
They both stopped answering DT calls. We may see oil price back into $75-80 sooner than expected.

The political mess we are in now is the results of labour inept policies orchestrated by Tony Blair with his open door policy that created sudden influx of people that are very different in many ways taking advantage of our outdated laws and benefits system and the country was swamped by migration of millions of poor countries from EEC ,where the infrastructure couldnot cope ..shools,hospitals,housings,benefits system was overwhelmed by people never paid a penny towards any of the previllages they were having on British taxpayers expenses. Some towns dermographic changed completely and could not be recognised as British country towns anymore. Then when labour finished its contribution of destructions with empty coffers and the country was on its knees financially broken ,the conservatives came back to pick the pieces and succeeded in putting the country on its feet again.
People voted Brexit for reasons created by disasterous labour.
Yes we need migrants but controlled one and tight borders.
Always voted conservatives and never change this.
Bring The Iron Lady back to sort out those corrupts in Brussels!

Yes 20% relief of tax but you will be taxed on your contribution of what you contributed as a normal income but the taxman has already returned the 20% back as a contribution so basically if you are a 20% tax payer you would not pay the 20% tax but then you have your contribution locked away until 55.
If your employer is paying you big contribution then this is a different matter if you are not yourself contributing.
Then when you start withdrawing it you will have to pay tax unless if your pension below the exemption limit .

I agree it is a contrersial issue with many different views...I did read alot about it.

The only advantage of pension is if you use it for the purpose of Inheritance tax relief by not withdrawing from it but to leave it to the inheritance after declaring the name or names on the form and must be there for a minimum of seven years before death for them to benefit from tax free lump sum. Many people are using it for this purpose now but not to withdraw it as a pension for themselves.

And once you are in pension...you stuck with your cash and cannot get hold of it until the age of 55 and by 2028 it will until the age of 57. Very restrictive comparing to isa.

Careful with pension as it is a tax trick by the providers to earn fat commissions. Tax relief now then pay it later and we keep your money to get more commissions.
ISA is far better in comparison and much more straightforward.
