EXMEX re Winterplex as I understand it it’s just a different assay so the process to prepare it would be simplified using ProMATE in the same way as it would for standard covid assay, maybe Poidster or someone with more scientific knowledge could confirm. I also wonder how much Winterplex is actually being used as flu has apparently been almost totally absent this year?

MrBurns whilst I agree with your views on GM’s comments regarding future prospects in the rns, I think he could have been a lot more positive and provided more detail, you can’t compare forecasting in a tech sales job (internally) to making forecasts as head of a public company. These would immediately become a very strict yardstick by which performance would have to be measured very regularly to ensure the market has not been misled. The closest you will get is via the brokers who would have been given a good steer by the BOD, but are a step removed so there’s a little more leeway for deviation from them. There will most certainly be forecasts in the hands of FD but they aren’t for public broadcasting. And to be fair, the pandemic and diagnostics sector is changing very rapidly and it is only January so there are no guarantees of where this might go.

That’s an interesting approach Hamsters but one I’d suggest is fraught with risk, the chance of accidentally letting something slip or saying something that might be misinterpreted is so high!

He wasn’t granted shares, he and AD were awarded cash in line with the phantom LTIP scheme which reflected growth in SP, which they achieved and were appropriately rewarded for. GM invested £500k of this back into shares. It’s a substantial sum by any measure but also bear in mind he would have paid 40% tax on the £3.6m before the share acquisition.

I think you are right try2buy. We have had apparent inside info from Poidster that there were issues around q machines which would have delayed the rollout however he/she was v positive about the impact of Promate so this is promising. Added to which, Mandy has confirmed that £10m orders are not material enough to rns. The brokers have reiterated their forecasts so we can safely assume the company is comfortable about hitting 2021 expectations (£350m?) and should at least maintain the current margins. That is without phase2 or any other big contracts rolling in. SP makes no sense with all this.

We appear to have entered the upsidedown Likey, where quality stocks with fantastic results plunge madly and jam tomorrow, next most brilliant thing (but no sales just yet) rise massively. Your guess is as good as mine
