My selection today came 3rd at 13/2 so a few bob in the bank I bet anything over 5/1 ew an old professional gambler taught me that. Landau was beaten a head @ 6/1 I got 9s earlier today. Racing Update - Money talks if two horses who have been hammered today. The Frankie horse BARREESH 11/4 into 2/1 2.55 Notts and DOUBLE UP 4.20. Newm 5/2 last night into 8/11. On paper they both have favourites chances but no value for a bet now.

Two placed best we could do today. Several meetings tomorrow but very competive racing and a lot of maiden races without inside info hard to assess. Fergal Lynch travels to Newcastle for one ride Braes of Lochalsh in the 3.55 over 2 miles then rushes upto Hamilton for the 8.10 Rothesay Dancer and in the 9.10 Rasaman all trained by Jim Goldie. I would have recommended two as each way bets with the info I have but cannot advice a bet as the Jim Goldie stable is not firing over the last couple of weeks. In the 7.10 Ham the Ryan horse is working well but I don't like betting first time out 2yos. Took my good lady to the hairdressers today and popped into the 'Bookies' while I had an hour to wait. Read all the racing papers and did a couple of 'Silly' bets. Henllan harri as we were just off Henllan road and me. Peak Storm as I was talking about the weather to another punter and Pillar Box as I had a letter to post. I hope Thomas22 isn't reading this. I this as it's the easiest form of betting to go bust? Hell I had £16 in change in my pocket from Chepstow so it lightened me up in more ways than one. I did mention on Sunday night I was looking forward to having a chat with my old friends Franny Norton and Cathy Gannon?? Just look at thei results they are top jockeys at Chepstow nobody rides the course better. My silly bet was HENLLAN HARRI Worc 16.30 PEAK STORM. Bath 18.30. and PILLAR BOX. Bath 20.10. Happy with tonight's winner. At Carlisle tomorrow The Queens horse TOUCHLINE will not have to improve from her run at Royal Ascot last week where she came a very good third in a Listed Class over a mile, this is just over a furlong less but is the class and form horse in the race. At Worcester Sam T-W is on another good ex-flat horse TERCEL. It only seems like yesterday that I use to watch Sam ride out first two lots on the gallops then Fergal O'Brien would rush him off to School. Thurs. 2 lost. Fri Ashadiham 14/1 ew adv 2nd Hootenanny (lost). Sat Robert le Diable 16/1 adv 2nd Ballydoyle ( lost) profit on week 12 points. The through the card was a bit of fun that a few of us were having. So be a good boy and make that appointment with a Psychiatrist and leave us alone.

thomas22. May I suggest you make an appointment with a PSYCHIATRIST as soon as possible. If you go through the blogs from last Tuesday at Ascot and take the advices from there and do your sums and take into account each way 'TIPS' as there are some big priced ew everyday. Your sums will obviously show I am in profit. So please make that appointment with a PSYCHIATRIST as I am worried about your state of mind. Good Night

Evening all just got in from a great day out at Chepstow. There was no G3 signal as I would have posted winner. I followed Franny Norton and Cathy Gannon and filled my pockets. Selection for Tuesday is Newton Abbot 7.30 DUBAI PRNCE. GLA

Slumming it at Chepstow tomorrow been through card and it's very difficult with a poor meeting? I think it's a good idea to speak to three of my former jockeys before having a bet? Cathy Gannon Willie Twiston-Davies and my old friend Franny Norton who I imagine has come to Chepstow mainly to ride for his boss Mark Johnson which is Spirit of Wedza and picked up a few more rides. Franny is probably riding better than ever. Cathy Gannon has got a couple of good rides and her best ride must be Lucky Clover. I gave Cathy her first ride in UK in 2001 when she was apprentice to John Oxx in Ireland as she came to Hambleton for a few months experience with Kevin Ryan to ride on the all weather tracks in the winter as there were not any in Ireland.
