NIGEL I would love GREY GATSBY win for Kevin. Adam his son says he's in the best shape he's ever been. I don't think he can give the weight to GOLDEN HORN the weight allowance at this time of year is to much of an advantage as 3yo's come more together and that is why a lot of 3yo's are beating older horses this month. I also think that GLENEAGLES is the biggest danger.

A great week ahead with Wednesday the start of the York Gimcrack meeting. Usual low grade Monday racing. In the 3.40 at Thirsk my old local racecourse PINOTAGE could run a big race if he's got the bottle?? But in the same race Fergal rides SPIRIT OF THE SEA who we bet last time it ran after info it was working well so same for Monday it's an EW bet.in the 4.10 Thirsk another horse we have followed this last couple of months TRAIL BLAZE of Kevin Ryan's with the excellent young Irish claimer Patrick o'Donnell and could run a big race. Thirst 4.40 Richard Faheys MR COOL CASH should be upto the mark with Patrick Mathers on board. GOWANHARRY for my old friend Michael Dodds should give a good account of himself in this very competitive sprint 5.10 Thirsk. At Ponte the Willie Twiston-Davies horse in the 2miler is RIPTIDE??

Sunday racing never top grade but in the 2.45 at Pontefract MORE MISCHIEF seems to be an improving horse and must stand a good chance. Willie Twiston-Davies rides for jumps trainer Michael Scudamore in the 3.15 Ponte. Over 2mls 1fg and the slower ground should suit him and he likes ponte. Over at Southwell Fergal O'Brien sends out Owen Na View from his new yard at Nauton in the Cotswolds and trains on Nigel Twiston-Savies gallops which are excellent.
