I've never known a stock where so many have fallen in love - myself included.

The glaringly obvious detail that seems to elude the BOD is that companies at some point need some revenue to turn a profit.

It's all become a bit meh - which is a shame really.

The algorithm works off the mid-price at the time.

So, for instance, if they were showing on level 2 as 27 bid to 28 offered - 27-28 the mid would be 27.5 right?

Realistically the MM's will be competing for your business electronically so the spread in the real world may be 27.1 - 27.9.

If a MM got hit at 27.1 and say for instance he bought a lump in a market like today that's a bit soft, he may be aggressively offered just to take a quick turn at say 27.4 or cheaper.

If the Algo on LSE sees that print, it presumes that it's marked at the bid side of the price, so it must be a sell.

Always worth looking at the prints on the day around the time of the trade. Is there a big print at the bid? Is there a big print outside the offer? You have to use a bit of detective work to see the price action.

Remember, the MM's are always looking for flow, so will adjust the prices until they find buyers and sellers - that's where they make their money.

It's the Market Makers who have no stock rather than Jarvis.

Jarvis is the Broker, who electronically directs your order to the most competitive price in the market.

If the order was substantial in size, then they would call the MM to either make him a price to start the Business, or make to make an outright price to deal there and then. That's why you sometimes see larger chunks printing outside the current share price at a premium (or discount if you're a seller) in high-volume trading situations.

But, agreed this has been moribund for weeks.

Figures are due shortly, so close period would obviously affect any transactions up to release.
