Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I think it’s fair to say that Mode have experienced a few teething problems. I’m encouraged by the appointment of JR and this should see a more focussed approach to the business and meeting deadlines going forward but this will take a few months to see this in action. I did not expect today’s news about the company joining the FCAs register I think this great news and from an investors point of view adds confidence to this investment. Whilst the market hasn’t reacted to this news favourably today it might just take a couple of days.
Phimx you may well be right but there are a lot of questions that need answering. Firstly, someone I believe has mentioned, the use of the name Volvo Penta in the latest rns this is the first time this name has been officially associated with Inspirit . Inspirit would not be able to use this name without permission given trademark issues. Secondly, who paid £500k for shares. Thirdly, Chris Hemingway still appears to be a holder of a large number of shares. On the above basis, I think I’m with Old Blue on this one, this share could have potential.
I think Techtronic you might be right. I am a holder and can see the price going up considerably from these levels. There are a few things holding back the share price at the moment.
1) A lot of warrant holders out there who have brought in at 0.06p and so any selling above this point is a profit to them.
2) There are a lot of shares in issue and going forward I think the company will need to revise it's methods and means of raising finance in the future.
I’m fully loaded here and only want to see it go north. This share has great long term potential given its management. I brought in at 0.085, 0.08 and 0.075. It seems that the price is going down at the moment. I think at the time of restructuring there were approximately 4bn warrants - I’ve calculated around 2.5bn have been issued at 0.06p.
I remember with Mporium a non-protected portfolio transaction going through - that one ended badly with the company calling in the administrators and selling the assets to the directors of the company for a nominal amount and in turn shafting the other shareholders. I'm not suggesting that is happening here - with the recent proactive interview with FG it would be borderline if not criminal to be encouraging investment if the company was going under.
How I read this is it could be very good news for Mode (i.e this is crucial technology) or very bad (there’s another way without Mode). Either way the great thing about unicorns is they usually only take a couple of years to become that status so it won’t be long to wait.
You are right Swify to not be negative at this stage. I was feeling overly pessimistic this morning but another share I hold Bou - after two years of RTO limbo looks like it might have completed an RTO deal. There is still a real chance of things turning out ok here.
I hope that there is something for aim shareholders. There’s mention of cancellation of the shares on aim but no mention that holders would get X shares in the new company. It hints that this step is for the greater good of other shareholders (maybe at the expense of aim holders). Also suggests aim holders get advice from third party about tax position. Maybe I’m being overly pessimistic about this news... time will tell.
People should be able to voice concerns on a board like this without getting shouted down or labelled a deramper. How else are we expected to improve? I’m not a fan of the big price swings and would prefer a sustained increase over time so I’m not a fan of tampers. When investing you need to be able to see the bigger picture which involves taking into consideration the positives and the negatives. No one can deny that this is the Aim market and whilst rewards can be big it is high risk.
I'm new to this share also. I like the sector it focusses on (CO2 reduction) and the exposure to the US market. Since the share consolidation - the trading pattern for this company has been weird and it can be really difficult to buy. With a market cap of £4m and 15m shares in issue it seems I hopeful that this could be the bottom of the price of the price range. These type of investments are always risky but I think this share needs a little patience.
