PensionInvestor you should be fine if you brought in yesterday. Prior to delisting RNS the price was about 1.90 p - there’s no reason why it can’t go back to those levels.

It boils down to management and how effective they will be from here. They don’t seem interested in delivering a good shareholder return and don’t appear to be very transparent. What is the likelihood of finding good management team who can turn this around swiftly?

Not wanting to jump to conclusions the reasons used by SDX for proposed cancellation seems to similar to the reasons above given by Tenaz for not going ahead. I wonder whether hostile takeover looks more attractive now.

Maestro these shares are not without risk. At face value each share is worth 1p. Atm if the board were to raise the minimum price they could raise at is 1p. At these prices there might be some value.

Yes, it is charged on realised profit but if the shares are delisted and you held in an isa on selling the shares you will be liable to cgt. From the time they are delisted and moved from your isa that is the base price and any increase when sold will be subject to cgt. If you brought at 2p in an ISA and they delist at 0.35p even if you sell them when delisted at 2p you are liable for cgt as in theory the price has increased by 1.65p. The only loser here is the PI holding in an isa.

Say for example a pi brought these shares at 2p and held them in an isa, the shares delist at 0.35p. The shares of the listing go back to 2p. The pi would be liable for cgt as in theory the shares have increased since the last transaction (delisting) at 1.65p per share. That 400k saving you speak of is just passed onto pi’s

No saving the money for listing is not the place to start. Got to start with what went wrong and if it’s concluded that it’s down to incompetency of management then delisting will only be the start of the journey to winding up the company.

Littlened, before you get to that question you have to ask how could 2 years ago there was an offer of 11pence per share to a share price of 0.35pence. Something not quite right here…

New to this share but my feelings are that JB is too outspoken for a CEO when it comes to twitter and trying to pump his own share price. On this board there appear to be a few accounts linked with the company which isn't always helpful.

With a good company value tends to come out eventually. Good news does take time for the market to digest so I would expect any upward movement that might take place, in relation to the last RNS, to begin next week. Shares don't go up in a straight line. This is an interesting share to say the least. You have the permits in place - which tend to take a long time and a viable route to mining. Should the sale get the regulatory approval the share price difference between Dec 24 and Dec 25 should be great.

Yes mining can be ruthless but there are mining companies out there that are better towards their employees. You never know it might impact on regulatory approval for this deal. Past dealings of SS is important to consider. The world is changing and corporations can’t always get away with things they once used to. People are increasingly being called out for actions taken years’ ago. I understand that competing aims must be balanced. Neo must decide ethically what type of miner it wants to be, what impact would the new SS have on shaping this, how to protect itself from following practices that don’t align with the companies values whatever this might be.

Yes good for Neo but terrible press for Sibanye-Stillwater. According to the article SS are not good at looking after their employees.

When issuing shares to Sibnyes the management at NEO have said to the outside world that the shares are worth 1.1p.

Trolls can be useful to help take a more balanced approach to investing. If you can only see the upside to any share you hold you will be blindsided. I think that on the face of it this is a good move for the company and this company could have a valuation in the billions. There are a few unknowns and the deal hasn't gone through yet, DMRE are notoriously slow - so a bit of patience is required. Think that we are in an upward trend with the share price so it is likely to continue.

ProfitJock it is a dilution, but the pie is very big and as mentioned previously an asset without the capability to mine is not always worth much once management fees have been taken away annually.

I'm on the outside looking in on this share there is a mixture of positives and negatives on this share. On the positive gold and uranium are likely to be growth areas over the next few years. A red flag to me is your Chairman who thinks it is appropriate to give out breadcrumbs on twitter - it reeks of desperation.

There has been a 30% dilution today and the pie is very big. The reality is it is great to have good assets but not of much use to you if you don't have the means or expertise to mine. In that instance the asset is only worth it's sale value but in the meantime management tend to erode this value by their fees and the shareholders are left with nothing. Post dilution, what you are left with is about 44% of shares in public hands.

CNR holders will do well here. This has been my best mining share over the past few years.
