It could be argued that the ocado comparison is misleading but it still highlights just how extreme the p/e ratios are.

Ocado should be valued higher than novacyt right now obviously but 22 times higher when EBITDA is so much lower and there are so many more risks to that business?! No way.

AIM is a difficult beast to navigate, the share price is affected by a whole host of factors and lots of manipulation is always at play. If you are very skilled you will be able to make good money trading it but besides that have clear medium term targets and wait it out.

Some of us here were left scratching our heads at £3 for months before the share price suddenly started moving at pace...

The stocks hit the hardest by the lockdown will in many cases be struggling for survival. If you think you can spot the bottom then you'll likely make big trading returns but besides that it's the likes of this, Go Ahead, BP, Aviva etc that provide safe and strong long term returns.

What's interesting to me is we on this board had to endure months of Captain Stanley telling us that the world was going in the direction of cheap, quick, less-accurate tests and that PCR would soon be obsolete. The truth is far from that.

Actually what looks to be happening is that cheap, quick, less-accurate tests will be used periodically to either attempt to gain some control over a spike or get a better picture of the spread in a city/region/country. PCR on the other hand will continue unhindered 24/7 365 days a year in the settings that matter most...

This has been said time and time again over the past three to six months but the fact remains that the scientists believe testing is key to managing the pandemic. I'm afraid that matters more than a few individual opinions.

I think it would be naive not to expect some panic next week. We're in agreement that the sp won't collapse in on itself but there is definitely the potential for a short sharp tumble into the 120s which I think wouldn't last long...

Me too, I'm out but ready to jump back in. We won't see anything like the falls in March and am personally only looking for the 120s.

There's a lot of talk on here about the effect of the current climate on revenue. There are numerous factors to take into account but there are a couple that are most salient.

(i) We've had one hard lockdown before, one that was a far bigger shock to society at the time. Expectations were that boohoo wouldn't suffer too bad but instead revenues surged to record levels. History suggests boohoo's revenues will continue to grow into this winter season.

(ii) Yes overall clothing retail will decline in this climate but online sales are going to increase dramatically and boohoo will retain a significant market share of the online market - this without doubt is great news for boohoo.

(iii) The US is boohoo's largest growth sector and there appears to be no desire to lockdown there.

In the ST this is extremely hard to predict and if I was to guess I imagine it will fall but quickly bounce back and break 300.
