The target market for boohoo are largely living off their parents. Of this there is no doubt - especially in America.

If we go under £8 a share today whichever way you swing it this is worth more than a small punt. We're looking at revenues far exceeding the mcap at a time when the broader market is as jittery as it's been since April.

I know where my cash is going.

From a psychological perspective who exactly is going to sell now? There won't be many PIs that think jumping ship at £8 is going to allow them to join back in under £7. The time to sell was when the share price was in freefall...

Before every big rise there was a period of uncertainty and pessimism. I remember around the £3 mark suddenly noticing all the twitter lads had gone quiet. Within a few weeks it had reached £8 and was moving towards £12!

Managed to avoid topping up throughout this entire drop (largely due to having most of my money in here already!) but this morning looks to be the time. It tends to take a good few days to stop the rot, today could just be that. GLA.

In March as the UK moved towards lockdown boohoo and asos both crashed as hard as most. As it started to become clear they weren't likely to be hit hard (and would possibly gain) from the lockdown the share prices rapidly rose.

Now we know that boohoo has been benefitting from the new landscape do we think this time the same will happen or they will escape a general market crash and actually rise against the backdrop?

Usain I know I've snapped at you a few times for being cruel to sh3 but I must admit I do laugh out loud at some of the lines you come out with.

Usain if SH3 is anything like I think he is I reckon he doesn't have it in him to lie. So no it's more likely that money he never ever imagined having just a week ago suddenly disappeared and he got spooked. Happens to the best of us.

We'll have to be happy with our £450m contract and £40m a month and get on with it...

tkr, talk of a market crash is not scaremongering... it's exactly what happened in March. The ftse fell and fell and hit its low on the day the lockdown began before starting its recovery. Of course history doesn't always repeat itself and we're now at a far lower base than in February but there is every reason to expect the ftse to hit new year lows if it becomes inevitable the country is going to enter into a nationwide lockdown.

To the moon if they announce a big order from us at the same time!

On a serious note this could well be the start of a broader market crash, which I personally think will end in markets lower than they were on March 23rd. A move to companies that won't be affected makes logical sense, but the market isn't always rational.

I know it's human nature to want to protect your profits but you've got to think do you expect the share price to rise or fall at any given time. At 850 now do you think this is going to end up at 950. If you take your profits and move them to another share there's every chance that tanks and your profits have gone that way.

Look back at your posting history and see what your prediction was at the weekend for the price at xmas - from what I remember they ranged from about £13-£50! Nothing has changed since the weekend...

As we move closer to a full national lockdown and economic and social collapse do you think journalists might end up finding some new stories and issues to write about other than boohoo?

I can assure you there won't be an rns telling investors not to panic. Most sensible investors are fully aware that there's nothing wrong with the company.

If you're going to have any chance of reaping the big rewards from this share you're going to have to get used to volatility.

It's the uncertainty over the future that makes the risk/reward so favourable.

a) An effective vaccine is ready in the new year and rolled out over six months and demand here drops significantly. Reduced profits but a few hundred million pounds of cash to reinvest into the business and a new diagnostics landscape.

b) It takes a few attempts to establish a feasible, effective vaccine that more-or-less brings the pandemic to an end. Testing vastly reduced but still necessary and ~£500m in the bank to reinvest.

or c) Still no working vaccine in 2-3 years time and novacyt's products deeply embedded into the nhs and other nations too. Consistent yearly revenues in the billions and this company worth 15 times what it is now...

The share price is slightly lower than it was a year ago - think about that. A year in which a pandemic has accelerated the move from physical retail to online and a year in which boohoo is seeing 50% increases in revenue.

In other words the outside noise has forced the share price down 50%. If that noise is silenced it goes to show what will happen to the share price...

I highlighted a couple of times how grossly Graham was underplaying what was going on behind the scenes in the H1 results. He said something along the lines of 'we expect revenues in H2 to exceed H1'. You EXPECT?! There was no goddamn chance of them even being half of what they were in H1 and that's ignoring the mega new DHSC contract.

At the time a few of us commented that he likely was doing this to avoid drawing too much attention to how lucrative the pandemic was turning out to be for them. I imagine he will continue to do this.

I think it's also worth noting that retailers are going to have to make difficult decisions in regards to how much to invest towards online and how much of a physical presence to retain. A conundrum that boohoo simply aren't faced with.

I've said it once and I'll say it a million times. Do not underestimate what first mover advantage means for boohoo - it really won't be easy for competitors to take their normal market share when transitioning online.

Takings this winter are almost certainly going to be enormous.
