Surely this will encourage the sp to stay above 175p otherwise everyone will be backing out of their allocation and buying on the open market instead?! I suppose at 1/37 it is negligible really, besides the excess shares.

The process was very simple on HL but not AJ Bell. Did you have to call them to process the placing shares / the excess shares?

Boohoo has ten times more shares issued than ASOS. I do think our mcap should be at least as large as theirs though i.e £4+

Look there was no need for any of the board to purchase more shares. Obviously this is a gesture to investors to say relax, don't panic, there's nothing dodgy going, all will be explained in due course.

I don't think this by itself will turn the tide but the tide was already turning and the panic should subside a little more tomorrow.

Firstly Kamani's net worth is approx 1 billion but that does not mean he has 1 billion quid lying around to invest. He almost certainly wouldn't have even 10% of that. The last time was very significant, this one is merely a signal. I'm happy with that.

And when Wilson says that A4uk flipped from anti caps to pro cap, he's actually referring to capital letters... not a flip flop from communism to the world of investing!

What is shows how unbelievably undervalued this is. The sp went above 350p in September 2017 (granted it was overheated) whilst revenue compared to then is about 8 times higher!

Basically along the same lines as everyone else. Reputational damage is not enough to affect the bottom line, fundamentals will win out in the end.

There are so many on here with such a high percentage of their portfolio in novacyt that even 5% rises are highly lucrative. I started buying around £3.50 and continued buying all the way down to £2.20 and then back up to where we are now. My initial investment was £3k with the plan to top up one more £3k if it dropped and yet now I'm sitting on £50ks worth!

On the edge of the all time high!

This whole recent saga is still too fresh, any rise is just sold in to.

I'm hoping for small increases over the next few days before a reversal Friday or next week. This is a bit more realistic timeframe-wise.

I agree with you Shaun but as time passes the road ahead should become more and more visible.
Here's how I try to look at it: If we were generating these profits indefinitely into the future, well, even as a modest estimate the share price would be £100-£150 (£7-£10b mcap). Either increased business, signs that testing will be needed at this level for longer or smart acquisitions will have the effect of building confidence and investor support. As you say we are in a fast moving environment and slowly those unknowns will become knowns...

I'm trying to ignore short term noise and look at this from a long term perspective and so my target is something like £40 in two-three years from now.

I think he was sort of factoring in this year and next. Don't forget this year is a short one as we only started selling in February and took many months from there to hit full stride...

I have us down for about £300m profit in 2020 and yes about £600m next year...

Proof is not in the price, not when fear has taken a hold like it has here. If this recovers over the next few days is that proof that it is not rotten?
