He's not investing £10k to make 20% is he here?! Besides some coordinated effort by the mgmt to prop up the share price short term (which I think is unlikely) these buys are surely a sign of something big brewing... and an expectation that the sp will be multiples of what it is currently.

At the same time it's so difficult to actually value the company. If we continued generating revenue at this rate indefinitely we'd be worth more than £10b easily and if the covid revenue stopped altogether suddenly (only hypothetically) I think we'd be worth about £300m (cash value) so that range gives us £4.30 - £150. Neither is realistic obviously but it goes to show the upside vs the downside imo.

My rather unscientific investment case has always been 'we're worth something well north of here' so I continue to invest. When we have sharp falls like this week I've doubled down as much as I can as the 'we're worth something well north of here' rings even more true.

I like having support levels and targets to keep in mind so I'm very happy with the director buys this week which should act as a floor for the time being and the two broker targets averaging out at £14 to go at by xmas.

The change in focus in the US from vaccines to testing cannot be underestimated, it's huge for us. The US market is unlike any other... did you know that the economy of California is larger than that of the UK? In fact it's larger than all the economies in the world barring China, Japan, Germany and of course the US itself. If we build a stake in the States novacyt could reach midcap size overnight...

I think it's good occasionally to be a little humble and realise that although we did pick the right horse here, everything is falling into place for ncyt in a way few of us could truly have imagined. That combined with Graham and the team's incredible foresight and the ability to come up with the right product in the right place at the right time gives them every chance of producing the sort of figures that the market simply can't ignore.

It appears the board would prefer to keep those figures to themselves for now but with no debt and tens of millions being made weekly this will in due course get the rerate we've all been waiting for. Patience and nerve from here on out will I'm certain be rewarded!

We have no idea when he sold... perhaps he sold almost imminently after the pfizer news broke and only notified synairgen today? In that case it would be a shrewd move.

I'm starting to grow fond of the silence from the company and truly believe they've decided for the time being to keep as low a profile as possible and draw attention away from the extraordinary sums of cash they are generating. I think the director buys one after another at increasing prices is the thumbs up, the green light, the nod to investors that all is well.

The research gathered on here and twitter points towards demand growing by the day, especially in the US, and the current rising cases in the UK increase the chance of phase 2 of the DHSC contract being implemented. I'm happy holding and see a lot of upside in the short-medium term.

My take is that day traders will prevent any monumental moves north due to bringing the price down as soon as it settles (like today at 1.40) but they won't stop this bumbling it's way to the 1.75 placing price. It's just going to take a good number of trading days to do it...

This is really lost on many on here. Having the peer review published in the lancet is extremely important but investors should have very much expected this seeing as the synairgen team are consummate professionals. What we didn't expect however was to be down at £1 a share when this particular bit of news landed and so it's merely turned sentiment on its head and kickstarted the move back to the £1.75-£2 range and possibly beyond.

It might even take most of next week but when it catches a headwind again this will move past £1.50 in the blink of an eye...

Pmjh, that for example was the reason I bought in an extra 7000 shares just before COB yesterday - the published paper with Fauci and some of the other NAID directors as well as another paper that was shared on here. Also there were rumours on here about the peer review being published in the lancet Thursday and they were spot on!

Hobknob, I was heavily invested (for me) pre P2 readout so I'd already bank a nice little profit. Will definitely take some off the table as the 18000 extra shares at £1 average were due to the likelihood of this rising into the P3 results and back above the placing price. But for now there's very, very little reason to think this will hit £1.20 before it hits £1.59 (my planned topslice).

No way of knowing but as the share price is so low as it is I really don't think it's worth messing around trying to get in a few pence cheaper. I'm certain you'll look back in a few months and wish you'd snapped up everything you could under £1.50...

Parsley, for god's sake just accept you're wrong here. No one expected the peer review to garner this much media attention so quickly - we're looking at the daily mail, CNN, Sky and the telegraph and it's not even 7am yet.

There's a possible 100% rise on the cards over the next few weeks and it might not happen immediately so yeah, see what price you can get at open.
