Partly because folk believe in the bull and bear markets and are worried that if this has entered a bear market then it will take three more years to get back into profit. It's bullshi*, this is a very good entry IMO and at least short-medium term will bring decent returns.

I got my BTC price of < $29k (well actually a fraction over $29k) half an hour ago and am very happy with that, even if it goes lower first.

I'm confident that now results are out the way there will be a concerted effort to prop up the share price, whether it be large director buys, share buybacks, more figure related updates etc

I don't have Saylor's ear sadly and I doubt even those around him do to be honest, he seems a very single minded individual.

I have written at length previously for why I think bitcoin will be unable to break to the upside til it settles first in the 20s.

Institutions buying now is sensible, they don't sit around and wait for the bottom, PIs have that luxury however.

I think bitcoin will rise significantly soon, I simply argued vehemently that there could be no rise til it found a new base in the 20s.

You don't need a crystal ball for bitcoin, you need to understand human psychology and listen to what people are saying.

Nah I know you're just deramping but there's far too much interest to see 100s of billions wiped off from here. Possibly trade at $25k level for a short period but the next move after that will be up, I'm pretty certain of that.

By the way I'm not in the bitcoin is doomed, bitcoin is finished etc etc camp, I simply argued that 20s would be seen before 50s. I'm not confident on what will happen after that but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see all time highs before July is out.

I agree bonker, I just think there will be tons of money waiting on the sidelines for the 20s and it will inevitably reach it before potentially an enormous jump. I mean, $30k could end up being the bottom but since it's got so close now I'd be surprised if it didn't dip under.

To be honest this does look quite bearish to me. Hedge fund and institutional adoption is supposedly happening at a rapid pace, there's been lots of excitement around adoption by El Salvador and soon to be others and yet BTC is struggling to bounce from here, at 50% off highs. The truth is despite that adoption just as much money is flowing out.

This is playing out more or less as I called it at the end of May and I still think it will bounce hard if it does go to $28/$29k.

HaleSpur, 191000 CNY/t??? I'm pretty sure BBN was quoting 136,000 CNY/t very recently and was converting that to $42.5/kg. Am I missing something?

I'm not convinced that's true to be honest. At this valuation it would take some pretty bad news for the share price to tank tomorrow.
