So if bitcoin doesn't reach $135k that will be the end of PlanB for good? Or will he find a way to keep promoting his pretty flimsy model? There are so many interesting bitcoin folk to listen to but the ramping predictors are doing no good for the general cause right now.

I feel that what we need most is more institutional investment. Surely there's got to be some interested parties at this price level who are considering accumulating?!

Wasn't he the one who said he has no interest in bitcoin? It's the blockchain technology he is interested in.

As far as we know there is very little shorting of BMN so do you believe someone initially bought millions of shares in order to then sell them at a later date to suppress the share price and prevent bushveld raising the much needed funds to help in the mainstreaming of VRFBs? The share price is rather unlikely to be being suppressed and even if it was nobody can stop BMN making a shed load of money from these rising V prices to self-fund future operations.

I assume this article is about VRFBs? Anyone subscribed to the Times?

I'm not holding so it's okay with me. Did make me laugh out loud though - 'I said it would go to 60p or so but you guys said it wouldn't so I went all in' - no middle ground with this dude.

My point is it is simply news tomorrow, we don't know if it will be received well or badly, neither do any of the traders. The share price is going down as they have decided to take profits en masse from Friday and play it safe re tomorrow's rns.

As a holder I'm optimistic but I don't know what the rns is going to entail.

As frustrating as the share price is I find it rather easy not to be tempted into selling when the fundamentals continue to strengthen in the background. No idea when it will happen but it's a when not if right now.

Fair enough Micky, using World GDP as a metric isn't particularly useful. Upon further research the total money in the most broadest sense, including all money in circulation, all investments, property owned etc is a whopping $1.2 quadrillion!

It's a weak argument, Saylor and his company have committed serious money to bitcoin, he's not exactly going to be on the fence about it is he and if any doubts have creeped in it certainly wouldn't be in his interest to share them.

Mickymix it depends on how you look at it. You could say that in the eight years since you first bought BTC it has risen $660b, to rise 100 fold again it would need to reach $66T, a figure that is around 70% of world GDP.

It can't increase in the next eight years like it has in the past eight but as you said 10 fold isn't out of the question, but it is still a big ask.

Harchris if you see btc at 200k in 5 years ,why in earth would you not be invested?

I am saying I expect bitcoin to continue to increase over the coming years and wouldn't be shocked to see it reach the $200k mark. The point was I'm not a bitcoin bull who is certain that BTC will reach $200k in the next few years but equally I do see crypto and bitcoin continue to gain over that period. The reason I'm not invested is the fact I have finite funds and up to now I have preferred to invest my money elsewhere.

A p/e of 10 means the market is not viewing Argo as a growth stock ,plain and simple - 10 is more or less the average for blue chip companies. Not only that, Argo are expanding fairly aggressively with Texas and so (all things being equal with BTC) the forward looking P/E is much lower than 10 (not possible to calculate accurately now).

I'm still not invested here but I find the company/sector fascinating. Whilst I'm certainly not a bitcoin bull and personally think the growth in BTC will slow in the future I do see BTC continuing to rise at a healthy percentage year on year and wouldn't rule out seeing $200k in the next five years which, if Argo continued to rapidly increase hash rate, would mean ginormous profits and without doubt a multibillion pound company.

I like the management team and with the drop in BTC this weekend Argo is back right at the top of my watchlist.

On this point I half agree with you Joker, I detest the fear mongering that's going on now. However it is relevant to this investment - SAGE/prominent scientists have a far bigger voice than they ever had and will have far more sway over the government than they've ever had before and if they are pushing for more restrictions/caution/more testing etc then that is likely to happen.

No that just means no change in the last day and last week - still above 0.5% according to quivad.

Let's not forget we're also expecting some sort of update on the long term strategic plan in Q2. I fully expect results Tuesday with another rns within a few days to keep up the momentum...

The full year results on Tuesday are not comparable to January's trading update. January's trading update had us in the dark for six months regarding revenue in the midst of the pandemic, pre vaccine, so expectations had been built up considerably. The share price was also close to £12.

This time around I imagine the share price rallies into results Tuesday with far less risk of a big selloff unless there's some nasty news alongside. I'm more positive this time around than January.
