Yes, again I was calling out BYP for accusing folk on here and twitter of things that he has no evidence for. Not only that but there isn't any consistency - one minute they are all deluded gamblers, the next they are successful traders, at least stick with one train of thought. It's been the same with Graham recently, strong unsubstantiated accusations. We are all entitled to an opinion but it gets frustrating to see those opinions bandied around as if they are 100% fact.

That's not what I meant Pondfrog. What I meant is amongst the supposed LTHs it is quite possible that some are actually trading the share, which is sneaky if they are giving the impression of being strong holders and never selling.

Nothing sneaky about the transparent traders.

And that is my point, you simply have no idea. Amongst the posters there will be sneaky traders but you call out everyone that's positive, sometimes calling them deluded and sometimes dishonest. All the while we are supposed to accept that your negativity is completely genuine.

Sentiment is definitely ruled by what's happening here in the UK when there is clearly a fight that is being lost in large swathes of the world. Sure here the majority of the country have been vaccinated/have antibodies which will help bring the pandemic under control but this isn't true across the world and we sell across the world.

Worth remembering if considering buying today at this price.

I'm not worried at all. Longer term we only need to be making in the region of £10m profit a year to reach a valuation of about £5 a share. Nothing is certain but it's rather easy to see that be achieved at the very least, the potential to grow into something much bigger than that is also very realistic.

Sure £12 a share will be a challenge but all of us able to take advantage of this low share price don't need to see £12 again to make a healthy return.

Sick to death of all these strong opinions that are repeated and repeated and repeated. None of us know what's gone on behind the scenes, none of us know for sure who's in the right re DHSC, none of us know the true reason that Graham is leaving. None of us know how successful a different CEO would have been. None of us know if he is truly a genuine and lovely man or a crook.

In general i've always been positive about Graham but I'm just a shareholder, I don't pretend to know any of the answers above and so I refrain from calling him the messiah or a disgrace.

Anyway, why is it always assumed that GM and GM alone makes all the decisions? The success or failure of the recent past will be a joint effort, not one man's.

It's no surprise to hear that 90% of holiday makers are using LFT, most will just go with the cheapest option available. We've just got to hope that we have a major share of the PCR airport testing as even if 10% of tests being used are PCR that's still millions and millions of PCR tests...

Soder, if you look at EKF they have a valuation of £350m and pre covid in 2019 they made just £4m net profit. The market wants to see a path to long term profitability even if covid revenue were to dry up to virtually nothing. Acquiring a business bringing in £5m EBITDA a year and leveraging our relationships to increase that to say £7m a year going forward would add a lot of value to novacyt...

I also agree a massive share buyback would boost the share price short term but it doesn't improve the long term investment picture in my opinion.

I don't personally think it's the DHSC dispute holding us back as much as being viewed as a covid stock still. I for one thought we'd move quicker to make non covid acquisitions and start building alternative revenue streams but it doesn't concern me longer term, all it would have done is push the share price higher for now.

The BOD have chosen not to rush in regards to reinvesting this cash and I'm confident that by taking their time they will make the right strategic decisions to build this business into something much bigger. I am in no rush to cash out and so that's all that matters to me, that the fundamentals and outlook are positive.

In general I'm not topping up anymore unless there is an unsubstantiated and dramatic fall, like today.

The CCO did buy 10000 just a few weeks ago 10% higher than where we're sat today.

Decided to top up myself quite considerably at 305p - I know it's been said before but there really is a limit to how low this SP could go with the cash in the bank and it's not a million miles off that floor now.

Yes I would say it probably is a little selfish. I'm not sure sticking a mask on for a few minutes in a shop would stop you putting you and your family first but otherwise I agree, I think we should have the choice. Going forward I will probably wear masks in places that are small and considered essential, the cornershop, tesco express etc. There might be people in there that have no choice but to pop in and are still a little scared.

A busy, lively bar? If others aren't I imagine I won't either.

I do think the government should make more of an effort to stress the importance and selflessness of wearing masks in indoor public places, on that front it's disappointing.

I agree with Soder that on the whole this is as good as it's going to get. I know a good few vulnerable people who recognise that the world can't continue to stop to protect them and have said they will, when necessary going forward, take a step back from society when cases surge as they inevitably will.

More will need to be done to continue to protect the most vulnerable that can't take that step back independently ie care home residents and I'd like to see those most at risk in the future given special protections when cases peak. And of course boosters are evidently going to be needed.

It hopefully won't be too long til novacyt starts to distance itself more from 'covid stock' as that imo is still holding us back.

Personally I sold most of my holding at 280p a week ago as it was looking too shaky for me. Tempted to jump back in but will wait til Monday as we'll probably see one more shake out first.
