Or he took a massive, massive gamble and moved almost his entire portfolio into a bombed out stock that was on the edge of ceasing operations. This has worked out very well for PI in this instance and boy does he have balls of steel (or didn't understand the risks) but if he'd lost the lot it would have been down to Argo management failing to negotiate a rescue package rather than a few bearish posters on a forum.

The whole point of dca'ing is to trickle money into a share/investment long term, if a company is on the verge of bankruptcy then you're not dca'ing, you're taking a punt on the company recovering.

So yes I stand by my comments, to call what you were doing DCA is stupid. But well done either way.
